LISTEN it’s almost gonna be two years now, and since i’ve watched this my expectations on anime heightened so much that sometimes i get disappointed by other animes. This is just how GREAT this anime is, every single time i watch something i always think “hmm maquia is a lil bit better” and i’m not that kind of person but it makes me be that person. If i have to watch thesame anime for the rest if my life it’d be this no doubt.
@MarzBarz712224 жыл бұрын
I can wholeheartedly agree. My expectations for anime movies will never be the same. For me I personally love this movie much more than your name or a silent voice because it's more realistic. We all have a mother, and while we all have different experiences with one , this movie makes you long for that connection, even if you don't have one. But at the end where everyone bawls including me, it's somehow feels good to cry. Like it hurt yes but in a good way, it makes you feel loved somehow. While the other movies make you feel even lonlier because oyu cannot establish a connection with someone that easily, in this short two hour movie it makes you fall in love with ariel as a son and have to go through the grief of losing him, gaining him and losing him again. Seeing his last moments is honestly where I start to bawl because no mother should have to see thier son die before them, but this movie makes it hurt even if you don't have a child of your own.

Hard to read, yet there are people that found no problem whatsoever with it. Quite strange indeed. The fact that millennials are getting dumber and dumber is quite concerning. I bet people that claim reading sub is hard doesn't read books often.
@hobbes2966 жыл бұрын
I did not say reading a sub in and of itself is hard. I said this trailer specifically was hard to read because it combined the sub of what the characters were saying with a written narrative over the top. By "not meant to be there" I meant in the original Japanese trailer. In the original trailer, all you had to do (as a Japanese person) is read what was written for the narrative and obviously just listen to what the characters were saying. The trailer was not made with with a foreign audience in mind and the extra text that comes with it. So the timing is off and doesn't account for the extra text and so yes, it is harder to read it all. Get over yourself and lighten up at a joke. You're not that special.

I don’t recommend reading this if you haven’t watched the movie: It’s ironic how the army of the kingdom invaded the land of the lorph clan because they wanted to obtain their blood to be immortal like them, but instead, their greed killed nearly the entire race and sabotaged the lives of the few survivors alive, making them all live their own separate lives, and made immortality into a curse of lonely fate by them seeing their own surroundings grow older and eventually die before their eyes, while they live on without aging at all.

The flashback scenes and when Maquia started to cry. It’s a heart wrencing scene, it broke my heart into pieces. Out of all the anime movies I watched, Maquia is the one and only anime movie that made me cry.

How to make an anime trailer: 1. Someone will speak first without any music 2. A melancholic music plays 3. People are keep talking with/without any context 4. Screaming 5. Just keep talking 6. Screaming 7. The music stops 8. The same person in the beginning is now talking at the ending, giving some kind of quote You may change the screaming parts with an evil laugh from the antogonist. Make sure you make someone screaming in the end tho, or it won't feel like an anime.

Yes, I cried at the ending. I borrowed this movie from my library, and will be buying the Blu-ray. Being someone who had always been close to his mother, and as she had passed away in 2010, a touching movie like this really gets to me.
