Few things 1. Use speaker set 1 and 2 for traditional / directional subwoofer mode 2. If using Dolby for music, use center channel spread option 3. I find Auro-3D better for music

Can't you possibly set directional and classic all 4 subs playing the same to different pre sets (1 and 2). Then saving preset 1 to smart save button 1 and preset 2 to smart save button 2. I've just watched the briefing to Cinema 40 so I don't actually own it. But there seems to be a lot of customizing with those smart save buttons (1-4 on the remote). And they can be configured with those speaker presets. So maybe you can save the different type of subwoofer usage for 2-channel listening that way :). I wish I owned one so I could try. I hope I didn't ramble to much. Good luck :D.

If you set the bass to LFE plus MAIN and only had 2 rear subs, would you get something similar to the effect of having the 4 dedicated subs? Just curious for my future plans.
@homecinemaking397 Жыл бұрын
On stereo no still only the 2 subs in front. 4 will only work in movie surround modes. On the cinema 40 review im going to try something and report so wait for that video.

@@homecinemaking397 sorry should have been more specific. If I have a 7.2.4 set up with the subs in the rear and the mains set to run full range, I’m curious if the front left and right would produce the directional bass of what would be the two missing front subs in a set up like this. Given towers like the RF7iii with ample power to be able to produce decent bass.
@homecinemaking397 Жыл бұрын
@@TheDanmanguy o ok. No its needs to be a LFE signal from one of the subwoofer outputs.

Would you choose the marantz40 over a Denon 8500ha(6 height channels and 7floor) for the directional bass feature?
@homecinemaking397 Жыл бұрын
I would yes 👌 much newer tech and room to grow.
@AADmrstangerbanger Жыл бұрын
What do you think Denon 8500HA or Marantz Cinema 40 or something different? I have no clue why D/M lower end models get dirac but there once top dog doesn't? I can tune the system im sure just as good but is it worth getting a unit with Dirac?
@homecinemaking397 Жыл бұрын
In my opinion Dirac is just added to tick a box and also why its optional. I dont like Dirac at all and i can tune with Auddyssey better. Even the guys at Homemation agree. So if its for dirac only dont waist your money. The only top feature on the new units is the dedicated 4 sub outs.
@AADmrstangerbanger Жыл бұрын
@@homecinemaking397 Okay, I don't have 4 subs just 2 SVS pb4000s so no need at this point. The DACs are better in the 8500 what is your favorite unit in that price range for SQ and options? A1H or AV10 amp 10 would be nice but just little to much in US.
@justlisten1 Жыл бұрын
very helpful video. @home Cinema King would recommend four subs for a 16x14 feet room? I have the cinema 40 but haven't set it up yet

Did you have the subs set as directional, instead of standard? That’s what it sounds like what you are describing!

Directional yea

@@homecinemaking397 How did that sound? I’ve been trying to find someone who actually tried the directional sub mode, to see how they liked it!
