Today’s guest is a 30-year law enforcement veteran and a bestselling novelist.
Marc Cameron is a New York Times bestselling thriller author, a retired Chief Deputy in the U.S. Marshals, a second-degree jiu jitsu black belt, a certified law enforcement scuba diver and man-tracking instructor, and a member of the rural Tactical Tracking Unit for the U.S. Marshals District of Alaska.
Marc has authored five Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan novels including Shadow of the Dragon and Chain of Command. He’s also the author of the critically acclaimed Jericho Quinn Thriller Series.
His most recent book Cold Snap, the fourth in his Arliss Cutter series, was released this April.

Great interview. To comment on the beginning of the interview...my husband was a Marine in Falluja in 2005 and I had very limited contact with him. I was pregnant with my second child..my son. I was terrified based on something i saw on the news, and lack of contact for a while til I finally heard from him. Not pleasant. Not pleasant at all.

Hi, I’m a 21 year old woman and I’m training for a SEAL contract. How should a woman prepare for BUD/S? How are women treated in BUD/S? Do you have any advice for preparation? According to what some BUD/S dropouts told me, one female SEAL candidate broke her legs in Basic Orientation (BO) which is the first three weeks of BUD/S, another female SEAL candidate broke her legs in BUD/S Prep and a third female SEAL candidate got rolled back in BO for stress fractures. None of them made it. In November 2021, a woman made it to first phase of BUD/S for the first time in history but she quit on day one after the first hour.
