Hugo: well, my favorite food is grilled chicken with rice and beans and ripe plantains like my grandmother used to make, oh, plantains add a sweet flavor to a very salty dish. Maria: My favorite food is a ropa vieja (shredded beef) with tamales, with tostones (twice-fried plantain slices), for dessert a durofrio (fruit juice popsicle), mamey smoothie, also just in case, I love mamoncillos (melicoccus bijugatus) too, because they are like a mix between a lychee and a spicy lime and a a little sweet too, they are so so tasty, right?
