That's amazing mate! A massive improvement with that mindset. Motivating. I was thinking what were you doing since there was such a break between videos - and you haven't been slacking! Well done great work

Very nice Lachlan! Your high bar routine is my goal in the next one or two years. I’ve been practicing a simple back layout as a dismount and I haven’t managed to get the kip to handstand with a grip change yet. Happy to see you are still training! Keep up the good work.

Thanks man, that's great to hear! Working the cast to handstand with grip change on a lower bar can help too! Let me know when you get the routine, I'll be keen to check it out! And if you have any questions or there are any parts you are struggling with just let me know, I might have some tips :)

Pommel horse is just so freaking hard to do clean consistently. Nice work

The execution score for that vault was a little harsh I'd say, but there are certainly deductions to take - there's a fairly hefty leg split in the roundoff which would be 3 tenths plus the big step on landing of course, and the big one which is probably the indistinct shape. If you pause in the air, your hips are open to about 135 whereas judges would wanna see either less than 90 for pike or 180 for layout. Upgrading to layout should reduce this deduction as it's quite difficult to show a tight pike in a tsuk! High bar looked excellent and pommel looked less of struggle!

Thanks Nath, great to hear your assessment of the Vault, cheers! :D Would be better off making it a layout to eliminate the indistinct shape deductions, just not quite ready yet! >< Soon!

Hey man I've always wondered does the lunge/ hurdle into the round off need to be in a straight line with your feet not crossing parallel? It looks like you lunge with your left foot crossing the midline at 3:05 then your arms reach back to the midline and this could slow down your feet coming together in the air before you land your round off to setup for your back flip take off. Cheers for the content as always :D

Hi Ben! I don't think it necessarily has to be in a straight line, though that being said - my roundoff is certainly not perfect! I could get my hands down faster and generate a lot more power by fixing some other things. Definitely a lot for me to work on in the roundoff alone! Probably the best way to know the ideal technique is to watch your favourite gymnast's roundoff in slow motion and note how they do it :)

You vs Tyson... Who will win?
@lucadisalvo2 жыл бұрын
I think Tyson only did gymnastics strength training and some flipping for fun but never trained all 6 events or swinging and dismount skills. So in a gymnastics competition Lachlan would definetely win haha

@@lucadisalvo oh I can see.. But... The skill on rings is the real power so... I'm talking about iron cross, planche, handstand azarian, swing, forward and backward roll etc...
