This song was so beautifully done by Donny Osmond, I think after hearing this for the very first time, I fell in love. Donny was adorable ❤ , and still is very handsome in his adult years. 😘😘😘🩷🩷🩷

Never a Donny fan, but liked most of his music. I was in Jr. High when he & his brothers were at the apex of their bubble gum careers, so yeah, listening to his music on mono AM stations or 45rpms were kind of compulsory. His music transports me back to less traumatic times.

You ask how much I need you, must I explain? I need you, oh my darling, like roses need rain. You ask how long I'll love you; I'll tell you true: Until the twelfth of never, I'll still be loving you. Hold me close, never let me go. Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow. I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom; I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume. I'll love you till the poets run out of rhyme, Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time. Hold me close, never let me go. Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow. I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom; I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume. I'll love you till the poets run out of rhyme, Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time. Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.

I have been yearing this song sung by Sir Cliff for years. I seldom.listem to the Osmond. But this one really came as a surprise, it is very beautifully sung by Donny, and much easier to be played and sing along with. Thanks for the upload.

My mam's great love. My mam, Maria, passed away because of cancer 7 years ago. I miss her every second of every day. Today I did the 10k Race for life in honour of her memory and I raised £310 which surpassed my £300 target. I love this song and so did my mam. I hope she's looking down on me and feeling proud and I hope she knows how much I love and miss her xxx

I know your pain lass, I was a grown man of 61 years when I lost my mam, I'm a big lad, worked on site for most of my life as Joiner, but losing someone close to you, is a pain unknown to man (or woman) until it actually hits you, I cried like a baby, I got it all out in that one big bawl, everyone deals with it differently, and that was my way, and as much as I still miss her, I've never shed a tear since, I know she would have wanted it that way. I'm sure your mam was 'always' proud of you Kelly, stay strong, for all we know, our mams might be holding hands in a better place. x

He was older - the year in the title is when the song was released, this version of him singing it was from years later.

@@tigertbalm That's not possible. Donny in this clip is much older than he was in '72, and Marie wasn't part of the act until the end of '73 (plus she's older too). Twelfth of Never wasn't released until '73 either (and he was younger than in this clip when it was). I would peg this as '75 or later. What show is giving the Nov '72 date on IMDB?

This is the best Donny Osmond’s version. He sounded a bit too young in his original version. In this version, he sounded more mature and his singing skill had also improved.

Also his voice was changing on the recording and cracked a little. He's in full bloom here

OMG! He was only 15 and a half in this video, still a teenager. But it all make sense now that we know whom he was singing to.
@TheNightBadger7 ай бұрын
@@peterchung4143 He was older than that in this video - the year listed for the song in the title is the time the song was released, not when he did this performance. I think this might have been taken from the Donny and Marie show which was years after the song originally came out. As to who he was singing to, the comment under the title of this vid implying something romantic with his sister (which people in the comments keep repeating) is nonsense.

@@TheNightBadger Yes,that is ridiculous. There is no evidence anything improper was going on between the siblings. They were always together because they performed together.

I wonder if there's a more recent recording of Donny singing this song? While this was certainly a big hit for him as a teen idol it comes across a little juvenile and a little silly and a little silly but I've got a feeling if you sing it today it's a today through a man's heart it would be much more romantic.
