Been watching you for several years and would definitely qualify you as one of the best drummers out there… would love to see what you would do with an improv Primus audition tape 😂😂. Man, as soon as people started posting all these audition vids this past month or so, I was thinking that of all the drummers out there that would crush it with Primus, you would be at the top of the list of people that could fill Mr Alexander’s shoes and bring the fun energy that you have behind the kit to that mix of musicians. Even if you didn’t do it seriously, I would still love to hear your take on some of their tunes, your style is just so creative…. Anyway, hope you have a good new year. This was a cool improv 👍. I'm not saying I'm as good as Marco because few in this world are... But I do have a similar approach to soloing especially now in the last few years. More musically driven and I owe that to him and countless others. The inspiration I've gotten from Marco over the years is ridiculous. I almost approach soloing in this context like you're creating a song on the spot which makes me think more melodic and tasteful. Then when it's time to rip it means that much more.
