KeepitMelo 41 dragons and Phoenixes are literally almost never portrayed as equal, across dozens of medias. warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons, Harry Potter, Runescape, Fairy Tale, game of Thrones, Overlord, Final Fantasy, Avatar..Phoenix are powerful but dragons are depicted as more so 99% of the time. Even if they weren’t Kaido could just be stronger in base and that makes up the difference, which makes sense given the fact that he’s Almost unkillable in himan form

Emil Nikolić I would usually agree but we have to remember that Kaido is portrayed not as a western dragon but the tall more snake like eastern dragons. Eastern dragons unlike western dragons are typically portrayed as gods or at least beings of great power that could theoretically triumph over every advantage a Phoenix has aside from the resurrection of course and maybe if you could consider other fantasy media magical knowledge in general though that’s hard to argue seeing as how most eastern dragons are god like beings.

I think he was just noting that Zoan users get a boost to their physical stats as noted by Lucci, making Zoan fruits the best for people who focus largely on their physical stats. I mean Fuji has nice defense with observation and gravity but Fuji was seen to have taken injuries against sabo and some revolutionaries. While Marco was scrapping with 3 admirals and a legion of marines. Taking seemingly as much or even less damage then fuji. I mean if we’re talking durability the man with seemingly unlimited regeneration should take the W. Even in the case that the fight last to the point were both combatants are low or out on haki. I believe that marko’s Zoan boost in power and regen gives him the edge.

i dont know if i'd include fuji's ability to block attacks within his durability as opposed to power, haki, speed etc. The attacks that he has blocked have all been from characters who i would argue were certainly weaker than marco at the time, but Marco's potential to land a hit is much greater, and thus his actual durability in terms of the damage he can take would become much more relevant, wherein marco would be the clear victor.

Yeah my opinion before and after watching the video didn't change much and I'm not saying that as a slight to you or anybody. I do think that the battle could go either way between Marco and Fujitora, and that both of them are on pretty much the same level (Admiral Level). So if you think Fujitora, cool and if you think Marco, that's also cool. The battle would be high-diff for both foes and it could go either way depending on what happens. Also important to note that "YC1" or "1st commander" isn't a level/tier. The community needs to be aware of the fact that it is just a position and not all first commanders are on the same level in strength. From Databook statements and manga portrayals, it's been clearly shown that Beckman and Marco are in a class of their own (see Vivre Card and Blue Deep ). Beckman has been compared to SHANKS himself in terms of power and it was stated that Marco "fought equally/on equal terms with the admirals at Marineford" in the databooks which are by Oda himself. Also important to note that Marco was only slightly damaged during the war when he was tag-teamed by Kizaru and a Vice Admiral WHEN HE WAS BLINDSIDED and completely distracted by Whitebeard's heart attack. He was only caught when he was distracted. It's pretty clear Oda wrote the situation like that to show that he's a force to be reckoned with. Sorry for the long comment lol. Tldr is that Marco and Fuji are on the same level (admiral level) and that the fight could go either way.

That's also more about the timeline. Also, this Databook was released AFTER Marineford and after Marco got his chance to shine. That would be accurate and it doesn't contradict anything. It's not even a timeline thing. It was after his performances and Oda used it to explain how strong he was. Either way it's valid. This was from the DATABOOK, and it wasn't related to a timeline/date.

Stating Fujitora handled an Elephant Gun from Luffy like it was nothing is not true. In the manga, we see Fujitora attempt to block it, and he's sent flying, and we see a small bruise on his cheek as a result. They then go into an off-panel fight between chapters where we see Fujitora have another (albeit ridiculously small) mark on his face. As such, I'd have to heavily question the "Durability" and "Power" argument.

Has this battle series been canceled? It's been a while since you've produced one, which is a shame because I really love these videos. Your battle conclusions were both engaging and interesting. The method you use to come to them is something I've adopted into my writing process (to better determine the advantages and disadvantages characters would have in a fight and to help brainstorm creative ways a character can get around their weaknesses). If producing battle videos resulted in the loss of time and energy without significant monetary or personal rewards, then I completely understand. I think it should be at least a draw. I mean, if we talk about armament haki Marco was unable to harm Akainu but was in fact able to take and withstand the magma punch that pierced a hole into whitebeard's and ace's chests without problems. What means tha Akainu was neither able to harm him. Such a punch should certainly be recovered in haki, because if not it would obviously have been useless against Marco. So I'd say that can make a draw in the haki stat since Akainu is the current fleet admiral and was presumably the strongest of the pre-timeskip admirals. Plus the fact that if he was able to keep fighting after receiving that blow, I don't think Fujitora has the power to finish him. Also the durability thing isn't that easy. We have a guy that literally can take admiral attacks, presumably with haki, and just regenerate as if nothing. The only blow in the war that was really effective was Garp's punch. The punch of a legend who outstands almost everyone in armor haki.

True. In my opinion, most people won't agree, but i honestly think Marco beats Fujitora 1v1. Marco managed to fight Kizaru, and was fighting him for a while off screen/panel, only getting wounded when he dropped the fight and ran to Whitebeard. Fujitora was struggling against Sabo, and we clearly saw him bandaged after he and Ryokugyu fougth against the revolutionaries, showing it was no easy battle. Marco is managing to fight and even push both King and Queen at the same time. In my opinion, Fujitora hasn't really shown anything to put him at the level of the original 3 admirals. Love your content, but I really have to reveal a major flaw in your assessment of gravity. The thing that dictates it's shape is because of density and type of air, combined with it's gravitational setting. If one were to be able to raise the gravity you could put any flame or fire out because it would have no actual method of remaining stable. Fire gets absolutely wrecked by gravity. Also the type of fire in the sun (which by the way isn't actually fire is a whole different kind of heat/radiation) also if the gravity can be raised high enough would be utterly helpless against gravity. People really don't get gravity and they should understand that it's actually at our scale the most powerful thing there is. If we go quantum then that is a different matter but gravity completely wrecks any fire based user.

I’m not sure Marco’s devil Fruit is the hard counter that you think it is. Keep in mind that the Bird Bird Fruit Model Phoenix is a Zounen type, not a logia type. When Marco transformers he doesn’t become healing flames but rather a bird that produces healing flames. So there is in fact something solid there that Fujitora can apply a gravitational pull too. Not that it would really help though because I think the healing flames would keep Marco from getting crushed.

In terms of fighting style - Fuji has the clear upper hand due to the one simple rule of _"they have to fight"._ What do I mean? Marco has no long range attacks, which means he is *FORCED* to engage with Fuji. It completely neglects his agility advantage and his immune to gravity advantage, while Fuji doesn't need to do anything but wait for Marco to come to him. Meaning, that none of the mentioned Marco's fighting style advantages in the video matter.

Something to note about speed, it may not be the best word to use as Marco's speed of flight may not be the same literal sense and equal to the speed of Fujitora's reflexes. Also something not covered but interesting to think is agility which isn't speed per se but the ability to move withing an area which I think Fujitora may have the edge on Marco in especially as a swordsman where you have to practice efficient economy of motion to dodge, slice, conserve energy and deal devastating concentrated power.

@@Cheizean well we should first specify what "version" of Enel we're talking about, the old one (how he was when introduced in the serie) or a modernized one (how we can expect he would be now). But I'm pretty sure he would win anyway, his df is too op and luffy won purely cause of plot armor. Because of their speed and power, Enel and Kizaru are the equivalent of DBZ characters, only the plot can defeat them, and in a theoretical fight there's no plot. I like the idea of Marco and Magellan cause the nature of their powers looks to me like a close fight of constant healing vs constant damage, kinda interesting.

Fujitora is also a devil fruit user GLR so if he used a sea stone accessory it would also effect him and weaken him,unless the sea stone had a handle made of a separate material.

You are forgetting one thing marco isn't a lugia the point you mentioned that marco's flame is almost unaffected by fujitora's gravity might be true, but the gravity can still affect marco cause as it has been mentioned in the manga that his flames heal him quickly that's why he seems like a lugia but he isn't marco's body is still there fujitora's gravity might not affect his flames but it will most definitely affect marco himself....

While I also would have given Fujitora the win, I think you may have underestimated Marco on intelligence. The few times we saw him get emotional in battle was right after Whitebeard got attacked which is something that wouldn't happen in a one on one battle. Not to mention he was the first person to challenge Akainu after he hurt Ace which goes to his quick decision making even at times of emotional stress.

Unfortunately I can't really agree OR disagree. The bulk of Marco's feats come from the Marineford war where he was primarily focused on trying to rescue Ace and at several points was injured because of being blindsided. Fujitora has arguably less as any of his major fights (like what apparently went down during Reverie, when Jack tried to take back Doffy, etc) happened off screen and he was clearly not going all out in Dressrosa (although to be fair, neither were his opponents). I think the good news however is that Wano will put into perspective where Marco actually ranks and if we get snippets of what happened in Reverie, about how strong Fuji is as well.

Marco's df is really awesome. The only thing i can think of is using haki infused stakes to pin him down which is actually extremely hard with his speed. He's really one of the strongest df users imo. Even with kairoseki i can see him cutting of limbs to escape and reheal..well that's pretty hard but still possible

It's actually very funny you bring up Issho's inherent tendency to rarely move. Which is very uncommon amongst all the top fighters we've seen in One Piece. Could it be a requirement to use his devil fruit? Being rooted in place due to some kind of gravity side-effect.

I like this theory! It makes sense too. While we have seen him use his gravity to fly and stuff, he wasn't actively moving his body and most likely developed that flight ability so that he could be mobile. It seems really likely to me that he does need to stay still while using his abilities.

I dont think its an accurate assessment of who will win based on who seems to have the best advantages in each category. For example Alabasta Crocodile would probably outrank alabasta Luffy in most of these categories but Luffy is just strong enough in a handful of them to be able to win. Being better in speed doesnt mean someone is significantly better in speed. A character can be significantly worse in all of these but significantly better in one of them and still win which is why i say the assessment, while very fun, is a bit flawed

marco still has a physical body when he transforms so fujitora's df will be effective. marco also needs to fly for speed and needs speed for hitting hard, fujitora can use horizontal gravity to make marco unable to build up speed.
