How do I use ethos, pathos, logos in an essay? For intense, when explaining someone's credibility, do you say "Malala uses ethos therefore..."?

I would personally put “Malala appeals to her credibility by... therefore...” or “By....Malala is proving her credibility/making an appeal to her credibility” but you can do just “Malala uses ethos therefore...” as long as you get your message across

From what I’ve learned, try to be more specific. “Malala uses the shared goal of wanting peace and better education to build a connection with her audience to....”. Never use the term “logos”, rather “facts”, & when claiming pathos use the specific emotion(s) the audience feels. Hope this helps!

The comments in this thread have been really helpful: try to talk about “appeals” instead of just ethos. Talk about what Malala is doing in her speech and the choices she is making rather than just devices she is using.
