@Maric18 - As a long time (but no longer active) Dota 1/2 player that has also dabbled in League a few times (Arcane managed to sucker me back in)... Both communities are quite similar. Some good eggs amongst a sea of normalised toxicity, and a bunch of people who actively tilt themselves by getting upset over anything other than a curbstomp. While I was playing either I tried to be a positive influence in keeping everyone friendly but in both games you have to develop a thick skin and a mindset of "okay, we are getting stomped and I feel like I'm tilting, so instead it's time to ask the team if they want to pull out the YOLO strats (deathballs, base dives, five dagons). You'll still probably lose, but you'll go out with style. Also doesn't help that both games have problems with smurfs and trolls and that it's very difficult to determine is intentionally feeding, if they are a newbie, or if they are just having a bad game.

Since you mentioned how repetitive Memory of the Lost is, in the game, it plays during sequences where you walk through an area watching vignettes from a character's memories. It keeps looping the same melody, but the different instruments fade in and out to match the intensity of the current scene. I think what you listened to is sort of a compilation of all the different variations that get used throughout the game.

Elegy for the Rings is certainly a piece that changes its meaning a lot as you progress through the DLC and begin to understand the motives of the ones performing it. At first, it seems to be just a haunting and scary ambience, but later you realise just how much emotion it contains. I imagine a more conventional piece, such as The River from the same DLC would be a lot more fitting for listening out of context, as it does a great job of creating a context on its own

Marco, whoever sends you that version of Memory of the Lost done that song dirty that song actually has lyrics but for some reason that version only including few words of it, the reason it doesn't sound amazing because that version undermines the vocal version by cutting it, even though the opera singer in the full vocal version sung it like crying. Also she sung it in English.
@c.a.honeycutt5046 Жыл бұрын
I was gonna say, that was an awful version. They just spliced together the different variations of the song, but the vocal section just awkwardly comes in and only briefly. Was very odd. To be fair, it’s one of the songs criminally missing from the official soundtrack, so there is no official version. But still…unfortunate he was given such a bad edit.

@MarcoMeatball - Your interpretation of classical music being transformed and reinvigorated to a newer generation is happening time and time again but with different mediums when you talked about the Kafka Trailer. I was first introduced to classical music through Looney Tunes and Fantasia. Without those I wouldn't have appreciated music in its form today even though I myself will never go to a classical concert since I'd much prefer to hear things like Soundtracks instead. It's evolving and changing in a way that shows what classical music can do in a changing environment and it's nice to see it becoming more accessible in an evolved way.

Completing the Circle is the 2nd part of a 2-part experience. *Riding the Wind* plays as the ambient piece in the background as you're slowly and treacherously climbing up a forest of thorns while riding the wind. Then you finally make it to that last tree for your final power-up, filling up the final spot in your abilities circle, literally *completing the circle* and then for this one and only moment in the game *Completing the Circle* plays a "complete" version of *Riding the Wind* that up until that point, had always felt like something was missing. And until you get out of the forest of thorns, you have this beautiful, sweeping music pushing you to press on and move forward. And once you're in the clear, the music fades and you never get that moment back. It's a fantastic once-in-a-playthrough experience. Part 1 enhances the impact of Part 2, really love it

I doubt you see this but the song title of Journey perfectly translates to the song. It begins somber, dark, almost grieving. After this it gets more hopeful but maintains that tension and then you get everything coming in slowly. Instrument by instrument building to this full driving piece. It encapsulates the story of the Red War. The tower falls, we lose our light, we're broken and scattered. Over the course of the campaign we gather allies, the instruments start coming in more and more, and then we finally take the fight to Ghaul and take him down. It's a song that tells the game's story to you

has Marco ever listened to any Legend of Zelda music on his channel yet? I recommend botw/totk's soundtrack, or Twilight Princess, they're all so beautiful. I can't help but just stand still for a moment whenever i'm playing either of them to just listen the soundtracks to their fullest. -in Tears of the Kingdom, the theme of the Dragon's when you realize you're right beside one, sounds so majestic and immediate immerses you into the world. And even more so when you encounter the Light Dragon, and realize that it has its own version of the dragon theme; then continue playing through the game, to get context on why its theme is slightly different, is so incredible to me. -the Colgera boss theme is also incredible, with references to Wind Waker that don't feel forced. -Whenever I'm out for a supply run for ingredients to cook, my first stop is ALWAYS Rito Village, it's theme is so wonderful and peaceful, it fits the village so well. -Although Kass is not in totk, I think its still fair to mention him here. "Kass' Final Song" that he plays for Link sounds amazing. With Twilight Princess, I always find myself going back to listen to Lake Hylia, or "Kakariko is saved", I love my fair share of epic battle or adventure music, but these two songs sooth my soul. every single time I listen to them, it's like I'm listening to them for the first time.

Man, Mihaly's theme is so good. Context for people who haven't played AC7, he's by far the scariest pilot you encounter in the game, to the point where most of the community considers him to be a retired protagonist from a previous Ace Combat game. So his theme really sells the "oh shit, oh fuck, oh god, oh crap" feeling you have the entire time you're dogfighting with him.
