Word on the street is do not connect Xlr and turn on phantom or it will 🔥 the internal sound card. You need a external audio interface and connect your Xlr mic there and go into preferences on your force and tap audio device and change it to your brand audio interface

I’ve heard that as well! Thanks for the info! 🙏🏾👊🏾

@@marcuselbow I finally got the headset, the $400 one and I was tripping for like 3 hours straight on getting set up. When I realize I could connect my audio interface to my Akai force, then connect the Xlr mic and speakers to the interface. Changed the audio device preference on the force and now your tutorial is making sense to me

Just hot swapping is bad. Make sure phantom is switched OFF before making any connections on the XLR's. Only enable if you need it after. Then do the reverse to unplug, phantom OFF then remove the plug. They've made it too easy to accidently switch phantom on with the switch between the XLR's.
@Pastapocalypse Жыл бұрын
definitely DO NOT DO THAT WHILE IT IS ON. if you have phantom power on and hook up an XLR if you even short just a little you're gonna nuke the force as you say. but it's okay to use if you turn everything off, hook up things and then turn it all back on again. '

Couldn’t figure out how you were getting it to record just by hitting rec and then discovered record settings! P127 in the manual people! Thanks Marcus, wouldn’t have found that if I hadn’t watched this! Love the channel👍

soooo, this is how I could do a live beatbox looping session and then by on/off the pads of my different parts (bassline, beat, voice, etc) jam a whole song - without any stops, like continious sound on? sold! thank you the first vid on looping possibilities further than just record a clip. I finally think I could use the force like a live looper (boss rc-505).

This is also how you record an instrument into the force; make sure your Line/Inst is toggled appropriately or if you need phantom power.

Dude, Your video's of Akai Force are so good, thanks all the effort man. I have one question, I have Roland TR-6S and I wish that Force could control the playback of TR. I assume it need midi, but Im unsure how to configure it.
@marcuselbow2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Empirism! The force can control any midi device via midi and midi clock/sync. 🤔 I can’t do a video on this because I don’t own this device. Sorry bro. 😔👊🏾

Hello elbowMedia Studios I want to record to pads or track w/microphone, everything is connected, microphone, gain is up Reverb effect applied , track armed, I/O set to Auto , volume up on amplifier, volume up on the Force- set to line in. NOT GETTING ANY SOUND NOWHERE- NO INDICATION OF SOUND ,cannot figure it out. I have done it before but not this time. I have an audio track activated. Got nothing ,would appreciate feedback from anyone. Don't know whats going on. Thankyou very much. rab.

I want to answer my own question. It took me a few hrs. Later to realize that the microphone I was using required Phantom power-checked that on the back of the Akai Force and it was off. Switched it on, that should be it.rab.
