I actually love this episode ( I feel like i have been repeating this phrase lol) TBH , the flat collection of MArgiela and 2d collection by Comme are my most favourite shows. It has something to do with the playfulness of the concept and flat clothes! Thanks for covering this. I was filming a video about my comme des garcons 2d top and I just realized waitttt Margiela also did a flat garment! and I have pieces from both collection! and Now THIS Video! ahhhh! I love this!

Watching through Bliss’ Margiela series now and the FW95 ‘Made in Paris’ viscose skirt is based on cheap suit jacket linings. I used to see them all the time in thrift stores. I think it was a loophole with the fabric for the lining being made in Paris/italy/USA while the suits were constructed in Bangladesh/China/Mexico. Also Joseph Beuys was a major influence for the SS98 flat collection. Edit: Not my idea, but discord user doesnt have yt acc.

You probably won't see this since the video is a little old by now, but I've revisited this as I'm in the processes of writing a paper on Clement Greenberg's Kantian Autocritic applied to fashion and was wondering where can the Marina pictures of this show be found. They are not in my copy of the women's collection book and they are considerably better than the ones I'm sourcing at the moment. Best regards!

I'm almost positive you can find those online. Go to ArchivePDF (dot) net. Go to the "Scans" section. Find a book called "Margiela Street Vol 1 and 2". It should be somewhere in there. If you need more Margiela images, there's three very rare books from the Maison scanned onto that site. Best of luck!
