I remember singing this song at a talent show at my high school. I got my first standing ovation that night. She was an idol, along with Whitney Houston (RIP beautiful lady!) and I felt on top of the world for ppl to say I was in the same class as this talented woman, even quite a few saying I sounded just like her. I practiced for months, but all I can remember the most was just smiling when I I realized I had aced the song despite my being so nervous. My night was a complete success. I'm proud to say I had been singing since I was 6 and practiced every day of my life at least 2 hours. I was determined to be a singer. When my daughter was born with cerebral palsy, my goals changed. I was so afraid I would be over the road when she passed, I gave it up to the dismay of my manager. Although I miss it, I don't regret my decision 90 percent of the time. Mommy loves you, Kimber!
