After my senior year of high school in 2017, 3 friends of mine and I went on a trip to Iceland with what little money we had scraped together. It was life changing and cemented those friendships for the rest of our lives. On that trip we played one playlist on loop, and this was one of those songs. Hello, Marianne. This is a letter of gratitude from a fan. I just want to say thank you for existing, and making all the beautiful art that you do. Your music has been like therapy to me for very long. I had insomnia (among other things) for a long time and nothing actually seemed to work to help me sleep. But then you released "Here." and that was the cure for me. I always used to play your cover of 'Je te laisserai des mots' on KZbin on repeat and it'd help me sleep to some extent. But when you released it on the EP, that's when I actually started to have a good nights sleep. I still play the whole EP on repeat and it's on top of my most listened. Now, it's obviously very unrealistic to give you all the credit for the sleep, because I was seeing a therapist as well. But your music is the only thing that actually made me feel like everything was going to be fine. And that the pain was temporary, and it'd pass and life would be as colourful as the images in your cinematic covers. Watching your cinematic covers has always been the highlight of my day when you upload. Thanks for creating art. I discovered you from your cover of 'I Found' on Spotify some years back when I was in a really bad place. And since then, your music has helped me heal and grow as a person. Just thought I should say thank you and maybe put a smile on your face, that is, if you read this at all. I wish you all the best for your music career now that you're going full time.
