Matthew's advice helped me navigate a tricky time in my relationship back when my now-husband and I were dating. My man and I have now been married for 12 years! His advice is gold, sisters. I also want to say how much I appreciate him for squeezing into that short little chair across from Marie in a place set up for petites. It looks a bit too small for him but he made the sacrifice for us.

Thank you Marie and Matthew! I love both of your work. As I’m listening to the health struggle it made me wonder. Do you know about oxalates in food. It’s a new topic I’m learning from my kidney issue. And as I read more on it it talks a lot about how it can potentially give aches in pains and no doc can figure out why. It’s hard because oxalates are found in extremely healthy foods.

Matt is talking about woman acting 'crazy' and how would that evaporate if they are dating someone who is making them feel safe. It reminds me of Oh Wonder song 'Drive', it goes: 'I remember all the times you made me covered in crazy. Can't forget it, all the ways you played me...' This is so true. I was acting totally different in different relationships. It's very important to realize what is our responsibility and what is not. So we can stop blaming ourselves.

What he did at the end there - acknowledging the real struggle and shit some people go through, and the fact that even his advice might not work for people in very difficult circumstances - I found this extremely graceful! He's grown so much wiser than before! I can't wait to see what he will have to say about maintaining a marriage, now that his is in one, in 10 years time.

Did you ever read “Viktor Frankl”? How to find meaning and purpose in life. Is not always about finding happiness but understanding that we all find purpose in relationships, in love and in suffering as well. Amazing approaches from this amazing psychiatrist that created the Logotherapy. And in relationships we need to know better who we are, the personalities that influenced our behaviour and how to fit or adapt to someone else. I really like Matthew’s humbleness and smart attitude towards relationships! Thank you Marie for this episode! You Rock.

My heart is so touched with Matthew's sincerity and honesty and vulnerability on this video. The extent to which he acknowledges the human condition and how difficult it is for some to find the right one. I found Matthew's work about 10 years ago. I bought his program, and even went to his live event in LA. I still haven't found the right guy, and it has felt like how he says "is something wrong with me", but it was so refreshing to hear about his own personal story and to hear how those that are on the mountain top can also feel the struggles. I love the part about loving oneself, and the question answer at the end. Thank you Marie, for facilitating this interview and giving the people a voice.

Matthew Hussey thank you for your transparency and openness. Regarding the tinnitus - look into the links between it and non Hodgkins Lymphoma - it could be an immune issue. There is a lot of research linking these. Please never use scripted texts!!!!!!!! If you want a real relationship you have to be real! Recently I was talking to two guys via text, they used the exact same scripted text that said, "yeah, let's try to cook a meal together and after we burn through a couple pans we can just scrap it and go out to eat." There were several others. Instant turn off! If you are not intelligent enough to write your own texts, you shouldn't be dating.

@@Yeodoongiiie The way he described love in terms of responsibility, the way way he talked about his personal struggles (but props for being so candid...that was really awesome), and a thousand other little tells I'd need to go back and note one by one if I was trying to make a convincing case. I wasn't looking for it; it was like defining porn: you know it when you see it. But I have thought about doing a reaction video where I analyze it a bit deeper. I'll freely admit it was a strong impression and not me trying to pick it apart piece by piece. It was a very visceral response.

@@pkowalke interesting. to me what i see is a man who is putting on vulnerability as a selling point for his book. he constantly pulls these stories, takes pauses and looks a bit sad, then looks a bit flirtatious. it feels like he really loves the sound of his own words. he even has his wife with him all the time, she always has to listen to him. she had become part of his work, and she doesn't have credentials in the dating market, yet she is given more and more screen time. it makes me wonder why she is working with him and not doing her own thing... does he have a need for validation so much that he needs her as audience always? this man has a script. he knows how to sell himself, and i would bet these more personal stories and him getting candid, is absolutely a script too.
