I’m on day 4 and my anxiety is through the roof. My 24 year old son died 10 months ago so I’ve pretty much been stoned everyday. (I smoked A LOT before he died though probably for the past 5 years.) I don’t think I’ve really grieved his loss like I should have. I’ve just stayed high. Now that I stopped I’m so anxious and crying at the drop of a hat. Probably a mix of grief and withdrawals but it’s pretty awful. I hope I can stay strong. I just took a 2.5 mile power walk and feel much better.

I had a bad headache and cramps in my body. Painkillers did help a bit to take away the pain and gradually help me sleep. Your sleep will return eventually..it will take time. I have very strong anxiety and shortness of my breath since next day I stop weed... Panic attacks (never had it before) and increased heart rate, tightness on my chest, cold and hot sweting... First I tough something wrong with me but I check my blood and some other tests and everything look normal. When I not thinking about that everything is back to normal... I'm active person and when I'm at gym everything is OK. I'm off from work since than and my anxiety and shortness of breath is still very bad. When I focus on something else my breathing is back to normal but is hard stop thinking about it... My oxygen levels are perfect and doctors say I have that feeling becouse of my anxios... im 4 months and 1 week sober. the cravings have been getting worse every day for the past 2 weeks. I feel like since I accomplished mental clarity , built a better workflow in my business, I can now control it since my willpower is so much stronger now. I thought at this point I wouldnt have any withdrawals. Ironically it was pretty easy overall to give it up after 4 days.

Day 3, sweating all day and night except right after a hot bath or shower right when I lay down for bed. Waking up cold drenched in sweat, poor appetite, choking down 1 or 2 small meals, watermelon seems to help the nausea. Insane dreams last night. I'm so sick of being enslaved to weed, I'm DONE with it.

I'm trying to quit but just keep picking up. The THC vape is really starting to affect my breathing but I also still smoke weed too so I'm sure it's a terrible combo. I am jealous of these folks who have been able to make it that many days. I get up courage to try it but by mid-day I fall off. I could use some help in a big way.

Thank you for this! Very helpful insights. I know it’s been a year since you posted this, but the sound quality is a little rough. A cloudlifter is needed for that mic (less gain means less floor noise) and noise reduction in post with a compressor will help a lot. Just putting it out there. Again, love the content!

I'm on day 5 of quiting after smoking for 5 years basicly everyday. I'm more clearheaded, but the insomnia is crazy (10hrs sleep in 4 nights). My palms are sweaty and my knees weak, arms are heavy (lol) Appetite is slowly coming back, but couldnt eat much at all without vomiting, nausea or having the shits until yesterday. Cravings are non existant because I wanna push through and never deal with this crap again. I even sat next to my friend who was smoking weed yesterday and simply didn't care at all. Dont underestimate weed guys, if you do it.. do it if you have a stable life and even then only ocasionly. Don't use it as a medicin if you feel depressed or something.

These videos are really helpful. I'm on day 5 of "weaning off" if it can even be called that - as of 6 days ago i was smoking 3-5 grams a day and have been smoking at that rate since 2011. I smoked everything i had, woke up 5 days ago and didn't cave and buy any that day and scraped my grinder out instead and got one small hit of kief that i smoked before bed that night. Since then i have been smoking a couple of hits of resin a day (i still refuse to buy more weed), last night is when the real detoxing started (insomnia, then night sweats when i was able to sleep). It isn't fun or easy, but but i'm glad i'm making the change.

Ive been smoking everyday for 4 years. I’ve started and stopped several times this year (in my struggle to quit) - I noticed the insane insomnia, anxiety and depression the most - but after a week or two I wouldn’t even think of weed anymore and felt like a new person. Now when I stop I only find that I have to curb the habit/craving - but all of the other symptoms barely occur! I feel like it might be mental - like when I think it’s going to be ok it is.

Day 3 sober- the more caffeine and/or alcohol I drink, the more nightsweats I get. OH THE NIGHTSWEATS! Have to keep putting towels down on the bed! I hate waking up wet & cold! TRUST ME THOUGH YOU GUYS- alcohol & caffeine will perpetuate the nightsweats. ESPECIALLY later in the day.

ELEVATOR IN BLOOD PRESSURE, SWEATING,CHILLS,HOT FLASHES,RAGE,SAD,CRYING, FEELING DISORIENTED. I thought I was experiencing kidney failure, dangerous hypertension and heart attack. As a professional stoner for over 40 years, I would have never thought all this. I wonder how many folks have run to hospital thinking they were having heart attack due to racing heart and palpitations. I’ve cussed out the refrigerator because the ice was taking to long to freeze. I’ve cussed out the stove because I burned something 😅but I’m feeling much relief knowing that I’m not having a heart attack or stroke. The reason for my quitting: as professional stoner since age of 15-16, I realize that this weed in the 21st. is synthetic. I don’t know what is being done with it but it’s NOT REAL. I had NO intentions of ever quitting until this year when I began to realize something about the marygirl wasn’t right. I’ve had apprehensions abt smoking for several years now. This year the symptoms elevated (blurred vision, dizziness, waiting for the boogie man to jump out any min, sitting in one spot for long periods, watching television with my eyes WIDE SHUT, eating until feeling as if I’d imploded, smoking a j snd 20 min. later firing up another. If I clipped a j to come back and re-light it, tasted as if I was smoking rubbing alcohol 😢. I believe with all my heart that if I keep smoking this artificial weed, I will end with CKD, STROKE,HEART ATTACK AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT WILL RUN DOWN UNTIL I EXPIRE WHICH WILL BE VERY VERY SOON. I’m going to miss you marygirl but I got to leave you. AND THIS TIME I WON’T BE BACK AGAIN. I think I’ll tske a nice train ride this summer 😊 I’m rooting for all my fellow stoners who are willing to realize things just ain’t what they used to be and we can get snd STAY clean considering the alternatives if we don’t. If I can EVERYONE CAN!!!!!!!LET’S ALL CLEAN HOUSE AND MAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!💜🔥😎

Hey doc frank! Not to sure if your gonna see this or not. First off I just wanna say thank you! You’ve opened my eyes allot with this channel. I’ve been able to quit alcohol for the past 4 and a half months.. but I’ve used marijuana almost every single day to cope with cravings. I’m afraid now I’m addicted to weed. It’s weird tho when I’m sober I’m not really caring I don’t really emphasize with anyone especially my wife. But when I get stoned I start to care allot more it’s like my feelings come back and I actually wanna fight for our marriage and try and make a difference. Not to sure why I’m feeling this way but any insight would be helpful. Thank you ❤️

okay. i just stumped upon this channel. 2:35 you mention waking up in sweats and you continue to talk about sweating during the day. Wouldnt intense REM sleep be a far more likely explanation for the sweating during the night?

I am on day 12 after a long edible habit. Still having horrible insomnia. 3 hours last night and maybe none tonight. Is this normal for withdrawals? I need to kick this for good. Interesting THC info; I am on HOUR 62 of quitting (It sucks a lot). After 60 hours I did a THC test. The largest one I could find went to 600ng/mL of THC. I could NOT pass this test yet. I wonder when this level will go below 600, and eventually get to zero?? Will be a long journey. Thanks for the vids Dr Frank :) Oh P.S. I have smoked bongs and buckets every single day (with a 6 day break once) all day long, for 15 years. Important info when comparing THC levels :)
