Zen_Guya is a Japanese animator that started a long while ago in NicoNico. originally a Touhou fan animation creator, he started branching towards self made content, and made at least 6 animations. 4 of which are touhou related. The thing that makes him stand out is his superb animations, MMD is notoriously tough to get animations right without it being awkwardly stiff.

I'd also like to add that this is his first attempt at an action-heavy animation. All of his previous work has been funny, light hearted stuff. So I gotta say it came out pretty damn impressive. Though unfortunately, I did read on his twitter that he will go back to doing light hearted stuff and likely won't come back to action stuff for a while.

I feel like the flaws work to bring it to life in this case. Face it, in real life, nothing goes as planned and even real life elites have bad days where the money is paid for blood. Worse still, when there's too few people to collect the bounty by the end of it.

The reason MMD's motion looks awkward is that the software was originally designed to "make animated characters dance," which is a slightly different application than SFM or Blender. The reason why this software became so popular in Japan is because the software itself is free, it has anime-like toon shaders, a huge fanbase, and a huge amount of user-created assets and plug-ins. (Apparently, if you have the right plug-ins, you can even do ray tracing!) The staff roll is mostly credited to the asset's participants. I am not an expert on 3D animation, but here is what I know about MMD in Japan.

I like the idea about corrupt police but I have my own theory but it's kinda niche... My take is that is that the VIP is a highly important figure while those Soldiers could be a private army hired to kill the VIP because of some potential rival Opponent trying to make the stakes easy for the opponent. So the private lead by their CO Sniper trying to eliminate the VIP. Well y'know what the Security did and of course the Protag going full beast so yeah.

So the reason I believe the convoy stopped going forward and tried to reverse was because the first vehicle got hit and flipped on its side and there were already cars parked on both sides of the street meaning they’d have to ram through the vehicle. So they probably thought it would be easier to back out until the semi rammed the rear vehicle.

I think the hand drawing close to her face is a distance, or cover thing (because she draws it closer to her face, and not away) meaning he is closer to an edge/cover, rather than much fursther back on the roof. The part where they split up didn't really sit well with me. Considering the numbers the bad guys had on them it would be very easy to get encircled if they didn't move fast enough. Stopping and trying to hold a position wouldn't work very well in a city where everything is bad angles. I can forgive everyone not using their grenades and rpgs earlier because that would just have shortened the fight. A little showmanship is permitted. 🙂

there's actually quite a lot of gunnery fans in the MMD community, granted because of the nature of the program where motion...needs to be added separately, it's mostly very short and quick gun ops, which the program (as it was made for dance animations, where short smooth repetition is needed) excels at, such as quick reload animation and whatnot, granted if you got the motion file you can port it to really any compatible model

5:00 - 9:18 Tunnel vision, bro. I've never seen actual combat, but I'd get myself rekt during VBSS training because I'd get caught out in long p-ways like they are on the road. 15:00 I had instructors jump on me during VBSS. Did they have instructors or other marine recruits go hard on you guys like that in AIT or any other training school? I got my ass BEAT a couple times and I would just be done afterwards. 18:00 Transition drills suck. 23:30 I'd argue that some of the older 'nades are more lethal, if not more powerful. I heard a story from a guy who was in at the earliest stages of Iraq and he said that some of the insurgents back then were throwing old Soviet stick grenades, and he said those had a tendency to do a lot more local damage due to their design than the old F-1s and RGOs. 28:38 Flashes that homie from earlier gave to her. 34:20 While a lot of the assets were pre-rendered stuff that he borrowed within legal rights, Zen-san was the single animator for this whole project. I’ve noticed in the Garage shootout, when the Female and Enemy Sniper were closing in on each other, (John Wicking that shit) if you look closely when she reloaded and stood up, her Peltor Comms flew off from the Enemy Sniper shot when he missed the headshot. I didn’t recognize it the first time because I thought homie missed or some ricochet knocked her back. Very sick, tiny detail from the creator!💯🔥 Edited: I’m putting the Timestamp with it to save yall the time🫡 31:06

the vest wouldve caught most of those what looked to be 9 millimeter rounds at 18:40 wouldnt be focused enough to break through the vest and from the looks of it the vest is military grade so alot of protection there too.
@JD-jc5hg

"Military grade" means it ticked the boxes according to DOD needs & the lowest bidder won. The civilian market has access to better plates than the military. And yeah, looks like the guy is rocking plates, would stop 9mm all day

i mean it really show just how much pain, shock, and rage she feels without any words, just the raw emotions on her face from having to watch the last of her teammates dead in front her eyes espcally due to the same sinper asshole. There's really a lot that this animation does so well at with just visual story telling that i would love to go into like when she breaks down after getting shot and losing her weapon, and the last scene with the build up of her emotions when she touches the flashbangs she got from the shotgun guy and then pulls up a mask that was probably from the m14 guy which symbolize(to what i believes means) that her teammate souls are still with or being carried onto her to help fight

If you what Animation that speaks, I recommend Jormungand HCLI (Elite Company bodyguard group) vs Night Nine(Navy seals) its interesting to watch. However it’s short video with A lot of talking both in field and eyes view, so you can’t just watch it personal if you like series to watch for.

tbh. i feel like if i find an animation or a video that looks good but is too long for me, i could just watch someone react to it. since for some reason im down to watch a reaction video that is longer then the actual thing. but its nice watching a marine talk about tactics and weapons.

What sets this animation apart from others is that the women are always losing to the men in combat. The main female soldier is very talented, but because of her small stature, she has the advantage in almost all combat battles, but is unable to win the decisive blow. Particularly impressive is the scene in which a woman tries to stab an enemy soldier to death with a knife, and even the enemy who is hit is unable to finish her off due to lack of strength. In the final scene, too, the woman struggles so hard, but without the flash bang, she would have lost in the end. In Hollywood war movies, such disadvantages due to differences in body size are rarely depicted.

Right she is unable to win against the final guy after she killed whole squadron alone and tanked multiple bullets. Not to mention sniper round to head, that would in real life rip her head off..
