It's sounds like a special weekend - what I wouldn't give to have a weekend with my Mom who's been gone 37 yrs. It is amazing that they constructed a whole story out of the Queen medley. As you love Queen, I'm going to send you to Voice Love Co. who has a video of Freddie Mercury (solo) of Time Waits for No One. Dave Clark of Dave Clark 5 was a good friend of Freddie. He wrote a musical that he wanted Freddie to star in but Freddie said he couldn't make the matinees. He did this version of Time Waits for No One for his friend with the stage lighting and a pianist and he sang this for Dave Clark back in the 80s. The video was lost for quite a while but has been found. VoiceLove Co did a reaction of the solo version and it is still up here on KZbin. Most of the other ones you see are the stage production with lots of chorus etc. It's good but that solo version will make your heart stand still. In spite of it being 40 yrs ago, it is as relevant and pertinent today - maybe more so.

It might help you differentiate between J None & Cesar to know that IF Earl (the high tenor in the hospital bed) is in the song then it is certainly J None. Earl left the group before J did. And in general, Cesar tends to have wilder hair. Especially now that J is in the Navy. But even before, J tended to keep his hair tied up in that little ponytail/bun thing on top of his head. Hope that helps. Their main time that is not helpful, was "Hoist The Colors" because Cesar's hair is very neatly pulled back in that one. And somewhat in "Dragonborn". Both of which are well worth doing, if you haven't yet. Also - points to you that you 'got' the concept of this. So many reactors didn't even catch onto the 'gods' of the underworld/death theme. One bit of mythology info that kind of matters in this. Geoff played Baron Samedi of VooDoo. The others were all related to actual death. The Baron watches over death AND healing. And notice that the 'coin' put around Earl's neck in the beginning, disappears when he wakes back up. It would have been the payment to the Baron. At various parts in the medley, it seems to be Geoff against the other gods. Many fans think it was Baron hinting to Earl that he CAN go back to life. That he doesn't need to die, despite the others encouraging it. It is also hinted that Earl can return because his heart weighs the same as the feather and cannot yet be judged. The transitions and mixing of the songs in this are just wonderful. Thanks for checking it out!
