Nominees for best Semi Final performance: 1. Beck Abney's 40 point run (Obviously been training after losing to MR in 2017) 2. Semifinal A (Nobody wanted to give up their spot in the Finals not even the soon to be named, "Bi-State Alliance.") Couldn't process a third nominee at all. Also when I said Bi in the parentheses I meant 2 different states not the other term, think Tri-State minus Delaware. Just wanted to post that to make sure people don't get the wrong idea. Lastly there will be no Finals nominees because that's technically the Super Bowl of Mario Kart 64 to anyone who is new to this. (Veteran players and watchers hopefully already knew that.)

Do you play on console or emulate the game? I have the rom hack from github but the main screen doesn´t have the "TE v2018..:" below mario kart logo. I tried to search the updated asm file but with no results. I run the hack on a wii console but i have two troubles: a ghost glitch (when used, sometimes the character disapears -only the shadow stays-, sometimes it trades for a mushroom and the properties of a ghost are not present) and a tempo issue at 4players in some tracks, specially on KD track (pace gets slow at 30fps; on 60 pfs it goes faster than usual). Any ideas? Thanks for any advice

The latest update hasn’t been put onto github yet but it’s the same other than the track orders. We play on console but some of the modes are made for emulator like the 60fps one.

Nope, it's a bracket format. Top 2 from each semi-final. Dan B. did have more but that's relative to his group. No way to compare the scores across groups. It could be all of a semi B is faster than semi A or it could be they are all slower and grouped closer in lap times within their group than the guys in semi A.

There's definitely going to be at least 1 finalist from either group, because one would have less than 24 points from 1 group and a guy from the other group would have more than 24 (that's the average). The guy with more points had a better performance, regardless of the group he was in. But I guess it's more fair this way considering the second group could of rigged the result knowing what happened.

In the first semis, I finished 2nd. It was gonna be a tough race anyway since Abney, Jones, and Trent are all good (all 3 of those players have won this tournament, with Jones being a multi winner here). But at one point I realized, and I believe Trent and Jones did too, that it was best for us to not focus on Abney anymore and we all kind of attacked each other. I noticed Jones trying to steal my shrooms a few times when he picked up Boos. But prob most visually evident was where I got lucky and got back to back bolts on Choco and specifically targeted Jones only...watching his screen and timing the 2nd bolt to hopefully spin him off the track. I just needed to make sure I got ahead of him and I didn't focus on Trent at all as he wasn't put back on the track yet and avoided the bolt. I didn't care about Trent as I knew I was enough pts ahead of him and solely focused on Jones who was only 1 pt behind me with 1 track left after Choco. A 2 pt cushion would be a lot easier to deal with. Had it been highest scorers from either bracket I don't think it would have been as fair and a lot of us would have raced matches differently too.
