Mario Kart DS Codes: Maximum Item Limit Modifier

You'll need an Action Replay to use these codes.
These are meant to be used with an 'Always Have Item' code (Check below for code). The effect of these codes won't be noticed otherwise.
These DO NOT give you an item and they are not rapid fire codes. These increase or decrease the maximum limit of an item.
This means you can deploy more or less of that item.
For example, you're normally limited to one blue shell. With these codes, you'll be able to increase the blue shell limit. This means instead of being limited to one blue shell, you'll be able to use ten, or more without them disappearing. (Until they hit the limit you set, of course.)
NOTE: Don't set the value too high. Otherwise, the game might crash.

Considering how old the DS is at this point, I feel it's worth pinning this. You need to use an Action Replay to use these codes. An Action Replay is device made by Datel for cheats and such. You can find them on Amazon. There's also a 3DS compatible version if that's your preferred system. Alternatively, you can download an emulator (like DeSmuME), get a Mario Kart DS ROM and just use the codes there. No need to buy anything. Since finding a Mario Kart DS ROM is getting harder nowadays, I'll provide my own at the bottom of this comment. For R4's, check davidevgen's comment in the replies. They'll start disappearing if you use more. But if you use 22159790 00000030, then the maximum limit increases to 48. Then means they'll starting disappearing when 48 bananas have been placed.
