Mario Kart Wii had a planned Mission Mode at some point similar to Mario Kart DS, but what is the truth about the scrapping? Let's find out in this Mario Kart Wii Unsolved.

An unused/beta Mission Mode was discovered 10 years after the Mario Kart Wii release. This was an extraordinary find for the MKW Community. Before the Mission Mode discovery, Nintendo had replaced Missions in MKWii with Tournaments and Competitions. Tournaments and Competitions were basically and Online variant of Mission Mode. Tournaments and Competitions would cycle every month until Nintendo shutdown WiiConnect24. However, today with Wiimmfi it is possible to play Mario Kart Wii Online in 2021 with new Tournaments. This was unlike Mario Kart DS Mission Mode because it was online with a leaderboard. However, Mario Kart Wii has an unused planned beta Mission Mode which was discovered by MrBean35000vr. What does this unused Mission Mode have? Why did it take 10 years for somebody to discover it? What happened to Custom Missions? Is it possible to create Custom Missions? Can you create Custom Missions at home? What about CTGP's Mission Mode? Will CTGP Revolution ever get a Mission Mode? In today's Mario Kart Wii Unsolved we will be taking a look at Mission Mode. If you are unfamiliar with Missions in Mario Kart, basically in MKDS they introduced Missions where you would have to get an objective to complete a certain Mission. For example driving through Gates or hitting certain enemies or gathering coins. It even had Boss Fights to play! Many people enjoyed Mario Kart DS's Mission Mode and hoped it would return in Mario Kart Wii. Instead it was replaced with Tournaments and Competitions, but there is an unused beta Mission Mode in Mario Kart Wii which was discovered 10 years after the game's release by MrBean35000vr. So in today's MKW Unsolved we will be looking in depth of MKWii Mission Mode.

it would be cool if they made an entire mission mode campaign like sonic transformed's world tour, where you beat individual missions on a world map to progress, and receive stars for completing a mission based on the difficulty you play it on, and have those stars be used to unlock characters and vehicles once you have the required amount. Sadly world tour suffers from lacking mission variety, while it does have some cool ideas like traffic attack and tank pursuit missions, it doesn't have enough of them to stay interesting across an entire campaign's worth of missions. A mission mode with world tour's scope and mkds's crazy mission ideas would be absolutely insane
