Honestly, as someone who was actively playing Disney Pixel RPG in the background and has spent the last several months hyperfixating on KH, it didn't give me that much whiplash. Or I just wasn't paying attention enough, which is also possible.

I've seen people knock this game for Mario being in it, but that's exactly why I love it. It's always cool to see cartoon/video game characters in a dark setting and have it still be able to be taken seriously.

Mario The Music Box is my second favorite horror fangame (just below Coronation Day), so this video was a delight to see in my recommendations! CorpseSyndrome's artwork is absolutely breathtaking to look at, you can just tell this was entirely a labour of love. ❤

I Always found this game unique and cooler than every mario horror games that was popping up at the time. The mario horror games at time were all... in nicer words, not the best of quality. They were all full of wack loud jumpscares and goofy sonic.exe wannabes. But mario and the music box was something different, something outstanding. To the art and all the other stuff mixed in, made it so damn awesome! Honestly wish we had more stuff like it because it's absolutely AMAZING bruh omg. [Also, LUIGIKID THE GOAT!!!!!!!]

The long wait is finally over. It's nice to see another video on this game, even though I wasn't aware of it's existence for a while, and only just reminded myself again recently with SpaceHamster's video on it (when he still used to upload) and despite the game's flaws, it's nice to see another somewhat more positive view on this game again, as people tend to see its drawbacks more than really talk about the good stuff that's in it. That said however, there's nothing wrong with having a few criticisms towards something, but at least acknowledge the things it did decently well at, even if they don't improve your overall thoughts on it

wario and the music box would be awesome, i imagine it'd be like this: faster paced, less horror and more goofy. wario can directly attack ghosts and other enemies, but cant kill them permanently. i also imagine there would be multiple "juggernaut" enemies roaming around the entire map that can either kill you outright or force you into other floors or areas (I.E throwing you out of a window, so now you're outside). i think a game like this would be sick

25:27 Damn right it'd be terrifying. Luigi has shown to move at high speeds, possibly reaching the speed of sound or even FTL. He casually carries several giant hammers on him at all times, and those giant hammers don't seem to slow him down or hinder him at all. He can easily destroy castles, has pyrokenisis, electrokenisis, can warp reality by dancing, can go invisible, has a vacuum that could damn your very soul, and he has a kick that can send you several feet into the air. You are not surviving.

Definitely make that ARC video, it's been too long and i don't have the time to rewatch a playthrough 😂 On the ither hand, as a massive wario fan, wario and the music box would go insanely hard. I imagine he could bw treasure hunting a cursed artifact that could potentially tie in with mario being a playable character and it being a mario + wario horror game

The two of these games were some of my favourite when I was younger, if there's a video on ARC then I'll be here 100%. Its weird that a Mario fan game ends up being this incredible, but knowing the team behind it, it only makes sense right?

Man, a whole decade ago? Feels weird. I remember seeing the luigi stuck and eating his own arm scene and was scared as hell. I’ve never actually seen the ending tho and this video was a nice gift to me.

I was literally just shocked to see this was recent since Mario and the music box was old as heck, then you got luigikid to talk about this, but has anyone questioned about the body structure of Mario and Luigi being in their respective designs, them the humans and ghosts are just *normal,* and yet the art style of them all is just *amazing* Also I don’t think I’ve seen much of the remastered, or my memory is failing me, I only honestly remember when you had to mash a button to save Mario

Oh my god I remember binging a playthrough series of this as a kid. I thought this was one of the best rpg horror series I had ever watched, and I had watched a couple of them like Corpse Party and The Crooked Man. This game was something I never thought would exist or come across, so seeing something refreshing like this immediately had my attention. Thanks for making this and unlocking a core memory of mine!

10:39 I'd would like to correct you on this because i think i know exactly what he's talking about The fake door death scene he's referring to, happens when mario interacts with the middle door that is on top of the stairs in the entrance room. Luigikid specifically mentioned the original 2015 version because the remastered actually replace the fake door with a painting of Alice.
