I'm right with you. The reason people hate the game is because of the Werehog. Gamers find it stupid for a Sonic game to focus on a God of War styled combat. I like the fact this feature was in it. Like if Sonic levels were just him running to the goal it would get boring or the game would be pretty short (Ex: Sonic Colors & Generations) This was the only game to me that felt like the developers knew exactly how fast Sonic truly is. And let's not forget that intro and the music. The only problem the game actually had was that the Werehog stages were a bit too long. Other than that its an amazing game. They should implement the speed stages for Project Sonic 2017.

I agree, if they brought in sonic from the Archie comics or even Sonic X anime he will be a force to reckon with. Ex: In the comics he went half way around the world and back in mere seconds.He got sucked into a black hole and survived and using chaos control he can recreate the entire universe! In sonic x he can handle the vacuum of space. Hell he can use chaos control using a artificial chaos emerald. Fuck once he got so mad that a dark aura formed around him and pretty much instant destroyed two alien robots. And let's not forget hyper sonic. If death battle decides to do a rematch they better bring out big guns of sonic as well.

The way super sonic works is when Sonic has all 7 chaos emeralds he can transform for a very short time. He can extend the amount of time by collecting more rings, but they will constantly be drained meaning to sustain it he has to collect more continuously. A very important thing to note is that just like how Mario can stockpile HIS power ups, sonic doesn't have to use the emeralds the moment he collects them.

Caleb Shackleford Doesn't the Golden Tanuki Suit only show up if Mario dies a bunch of times, meaning that it's not really much of an option? Personally, my feelings on this fight is that contrary to the dramatized version, Mario would really only get one or two power ups during an actual fight just like how there aren't that many power ups in the levels of his games, and just the same, Sonic probably wouldn't just happen to have all seven Chaos Emeralds. Since I believe that base Sonic is stronger than Base Mario and a good deal of his power ups, I think Sonic would win unless Mario just happens to get really lucky.

If we're just giving them all of their powers to have them fight at their max, yeah, Mario would win, but that's because his powers are much more cartoony in that they literally just make him invincible. If it were a normal fight where they just use whatever they find, Sonic would probably win because he's so much faster than Mario.

Easy to create artifical a longer run time and because the earning for getting all emeralds in Sonic 1 was so lame (a slightly different end cut-scene) there decided to add a 7 emerald and the transformation to super sonic into sonic 2.

This Death Battle is terrible these are some reasons Mario should win 1. Mario has more power-ups than what they said 2. Mario is stronger more durable, more skilled in combat, much smarter ETC 3. Sonic's sonic ball would not have killed Mario let's compare sonic ball can break metal but a supernova is much stronger than that 4. sonic would underestimate Mario and go easy on him and then Mario would obliterate him with a power-up 5. Mario does not get dizzy when changing from Mega to Normal 6. Mario is much faster than Death Battle stated!!! WOW I KNEW MORE THAN SCREWATTACK ON THIS MATCH UP WOW THEY REALLY MESSED UP ON THIS!!!

Also, in super Mario 3D land and world, they added the super tanooki power-up that is basically mario's equivalent of a super Saiyan form and it never runs out until you beat the level and it allows him to walk through anything and not even flinch, and if it's anything like the normal leaf, he should be able to fly.
