Since we have been watching your shows for at least 5 years we decided to take a trip to Thailand. We were there for 6 weeks and I cooked in our little hotel room. The market was just downstairs from the hotel and I was making soups and stir frys, The sellers quickly realised what I was trying to do and made up packages of spices and vegetables for me. When we got home to AUstralia I couldnt stop thinking about our trip and the beautiful people. My husband had learnt to count in Thai and I learnt a few words. I started looking online for rentals in Chiang Mai. Then I came up with the idea to move to Thailand. It took over a year to organise it. We have lived here now for 6 months and everyday I feel blessed and am so happy. I love the markets , the people , I am learning the language and even my Lazada driver teaches me words. Thank You Marion so much you changed our lives. I cook everything from your channel. I am very happy for you and your family that you are so successful. You deserve it all. We love you and mama Noi. bless you. Ka

This lady is truly amazing. I have so much love for Marion and her cooking skills, but homegirl is literally a flippin' unit. She is doing A LOT more than cooking, she is a businesswoman and holy moly such an amazing one. She stays true to her herself and longer content is fantastic. You can chill and watch it, put it in the background or put it on when you sleep. Much love to everyone on her teams too. This can only be achieved by the right people on your side.

I’m so excited for you! What I absolutely love about your whole creative process is that you have brought family into it. The kids, your sweet Mom and husband. I would also bet that the teams you have around you are also treated like family. You deserve every success you have coming your way. Years of hard dedicated work and now you can call the shots how you want. Thank you for being a very nice role model for women. You keep family at your side and include them. As you get bigger and more famous world wide, you haven’t become a private part. Well done Marion! You have kept what works for you by staying true to you. You give your parents a big high five for not raising a dough head.

I’m really happy to hear that. Don’t be suckered into all these social media algorithm. I find myself giving lesser and lesser appreciation for those reels and shorts. But in reality, those take just as much effort. And I don’t think that gives justice to the people who are involved in putting out content. To your point of sharing more of your life and experience, the idea of “from farm to table” is really what I want to see. Not polished videos. Not pretty staging or perfect kitchen. How meals are planned. How to take advantage of seasonal produce. Ingredients substitution - one recipe, several twists “same same but different”. I can’t wait to see that pivot! Thank you, Marion!!

yes, to longer videos! your channel, along with Pailin's Kitchen and Maangchi, are my favorite 'Asian Culinary Translation' channels. not only do you explain how to make a dish, you also take time to teach people who are new to those ingredients, or combinations of flavors, or even just how to serve and eat the finished dish. my family is originally from the Caribbean, so i remain in awe of how many of the same ingredients are used in our two cuisines, but in such drastically different ways. your mom reminds me of both my grandmothers, with the 'nothing wasted' approach to cooking.
@juliandanieljimenezkrause78027 ай бұрын
I also watch Maangchi and Pailin regularly, along with Marion. And an Indian guy dont get his name now, starts with R..... wait: Ranveer. They all have the same approach to cooking and eating that i so much appreciate and love. It's all about culture, traditions, happiness, sensorial experience, family, social, respect, no rush, enjoyment.

Noooo please don't do away with your talking and the slower videos! I love them, it's like having an older sister I never had showing me the ropes and sharing her experiences. I especially love it when food content creators actually eat their food after cooking because it just convinces me that if I want to look just as satisfied, I should totally use that recipe. I have used a lot of your videos to learn how to cook and they never disappoint! I'm so happy that you have reached so many new milestones and that you chose to create instead of merely slapping your name on things. Congratulations and keep going!

I started cooking asian food from scratch during COVID lockdown because of your videos, Marion! I watched so many of your videos to pass the time that I finally got brave enough to mask up and head to the local asian grocery store with my list I dutifully wrote down ("things Marian says I need but I don't have...palm sugar, dark soy, lemongrass, Shiaoxing wine, galangal, etc...") I also started growing Thai basil in my herb garden and using cilantro root since I grow it for Mexican cooking! It started off tame but before I knew it I was putting hot peppers in my stir fry's! And it WAS your longer-form videos that helped me understand the techniques necessary to successfully make asian dishes I also don't love the short ones, though they do get attention. Now I rely on your recipes above all others. THANK YOU for everything you do. I miss your meal kits, though, since we can no longer get them in the U.S. They were a serious "go to" for me. I actually loved bringing them on vacations where I would be cooking because they made "travel dinners" easy. Maybe there is a way to partner with independent grocery stores in the U.S.? I am not sure how all of that works, but I know we still have small, independent grocery stores that sell specialty products over here. I would think there would be a way to tap into that distribution chain. I hope so! Again, THANK YOU.

The thing that happened that really helped is: once you were back in QLD and not having all the Thai things, you adapted for ingredients, and I would love to see more of that when you're in Australia. It also means that when you're in Thailand, I want to see how a Thai dish is actually made with the full recipe lists available. I missed this video, as I was looking for a rental and moving lol Marion I’ve said it a lot, you inspire me ever since I watched your videos back in 2019, I was badly injured from a surgery I had done, I had to leave work as a chef of 20 years, I couldn’t work anymore, depressed and physically challenged/disabled, I started looking into KZbin and learning more about cooking and especially Asian and Italian m, I came across yours and that’s it, I was hooked, to your style, food, your voice, your recipes and the way you love food and cook from your heart. I also write and create dishes, I also have a long trauma story and healing that also comes with food comes into play heaps in my life…. You’ve inspired me to think about what you do and that I can one day create something of my own…. You gave me a reason to live again and to want to be more creative and reopened and reignited my love for cooking and sharing that …. Food and coffee is life for me. Anyway you have done amazing for yourself, the work, content, being a family woman, and being so humble about yourself and what you’ve created…. You should be so proud for Accomplishing what you have. Yes to longer and slower videos , yes to behind the scenes and yes to more Thailand’s content and ingredients. Then three years back I saw you on your KZbin channel. I felt so much like home and watching you achieved so much made me so happy for you. We said yes we knew that you will do amazing in your life. And just like what I needed today was this inspirational video of yours. I am at the lowest these days in my life and your words just pulled me out of some dark place. Being Asian myself and having traveled extensively through Thailand for months, I embrace it all. Definitely yes to long form content!!

I love the way your brand has developed. Since watching your videos we are nailing Asian dishes and they are easy! Both yours and mama Noi books are easy to follow and weekly staples for us. Thank you for not being like all the others

Yes to longer videos! I want to see your lifestyle ❤ I love what you’ve done with your brand 😊

I would love videos explaining different kinds of asian herbs and vegetables! You mentioned it and I got really excited. I love in depth content, and would especially love a kind of "inside" perspective like you could have in Thailand. Perhaps home style cooking? What do people eat every day at home?

Hi Marion ! Thanks for this update of your life changes through Covid to now . I discovered you during 2020 , Covid gave me the time and space to slow down and focus on why and what is important to me. Family time and cooking for them gave me back my joy. I view cooking as a duty of care for my family and because of that, I decided I would embrace the work that came along with that duty ….that’s when I discovered the joy was also in the process of learning, understanding flavour combinations , ingredients marrying etc. the techniques made the outcome of my cooking like restaurant quality and my children said even better than some restaurants they go to . They spend good money on food as one of them is a foodie. Everyone at home enjoys All kinds of Asian food and Mexican food. Your channel is my Go To channel for Thai , so much so we have stopped eating at Thai places…quality and prices since Covid have disappointed. Armed with your recipes, I can do it better at home. Because I want to understand cooking techniques, flavour combinations, alternative ingredients since we can’t source exactly all ingredients here in Canada…..it is the KEY REASON I LOVE LONG VIDEO contents. Short videos are like Tik Tok …. Learn nothing much, just distract me for 1-2 mins and are not meaningful to me. Life is all about learning and improving. Doing anything less just makes it less purposeful. To become a master Home Chef , one actually needs to know the process and why. So please always stay TRUE to YOU ….it is what brings us 1.9 M subscribers to YOUR channel! You enjoy making the long videos because it gives context ….so please continue to make your content the way we enjoy it. I hope to head to Thailand in 2025 … and I heard I will miss it when I return home.

Thank you for this video. I took a French cooking class a and my favourite part was when the chef explained where real vanilla or cinnamon comes from and how to tell authentic spices from “extra ingredients” that may not be good for you or the dish. I think you are absolutely on the right track with longer videos with more context. It adds to the joy of cooking. ❤

Yes, please! The style of videos in the past year was not really up my alley because i very much enjoyed your thorough explanation of the ingredients and the methods. I have enjoyed many of your recipes over the years because there's nothing I appreciate more than authentic recipes from those who come from the specific food culture!

I started watching your videos during the pandemic and learned how to cook Thai food, curries, building flavors with Asian ingredients that were so new to me. Your explanations are incomparable, and so helpful in demystifying aspects of all cuisines. I love your creative process and have your cookbooks, too! In a digital age where recipes are online, I love the vibrant pages of each dish! I am so glad that you are staying true to yourself, and I am inspired by you! ❤

I came across your videos from time to time and always enjoyed them. I just want to say what is special about your videos (and products you made) are that you never forget to put a lot of yourself in them. I see your fun personality, your passion, your creativity in them. Your videos are a joy to watch not just for people who cook. Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey. I can't wait for more to come. All the best ❤

I don't usually comment on any platform, but just wanted to share how I started following you back in 2019 when we were living in Hong Kong. Following your videos and making your recipes really helped improve my cooking game since then, and now I really enjoy being in the kitchen and preparing dishes that my family love. Keep up the great work and content! Now I'll need to see if your cookware is available here in Canada :)

My son (9 years old) and I simply love your content, so much so that we started watching MasterChef. We're almost at the end of MasterChef season 2 and the episode that you've been eliminated. He was devastated, knowing that you're so successful but was eliminated. I'm so excited for the longer videos. Wishing you and your teams an abundance of prosperity.. With love from South Africa..

I feel that the longer videos are better as you can explain the reasons behind what you do and why you do it. When we can understand why to do things a certain way then I know we can become better cooks as we deepen our understanding. I personally love the longer more detailed videos so please don't rush.

I’m amazed at all the things you do - I’d buy your ‘kits’ if I saw them for sale in the uk and your cookware looks gorgeous. I preferred your longer recipe videos, I found them relaxing. I have to admit that I didn’t visit your channel anywhere near as much when the videos became snappy. Thanks Marion :-)
