I'am so glad the inktense didn't bleed on the white fabric or the background. When you say: I put the wings on the background and paint after that, I was a little afraid. But it looks beautiful. There is a light at the backdoor and every morning I see some moths on the door. In the summer, now it is to cold. I will look a bit closer. Moths are really colorfull.

Enjoying watching you stitch, so relaxing. Here in Nova Scotia canada we are having a 3 day snow storm with strong winds. Lots of areas with 3o cm and a few with 80 or more. One area has declared state of emergency. Hopefully starting Monday things will improve. So this is calming while the wind howls.

They've definitely declined. I read it's possibly due to our milder January's followed by colder weather later. That kills off the overwintering caterpillar.

I love this moth. When my children were small, we collected 5 of the cute furry Tiger Moth caterpillars, and put them in a little glass aquarium filled with greenery and covered with an old net curtain. I put it near the dining table so that we could watch it every day. They duly turned into a chrysalis, then the beautiful moths emerged, which we released in the garden.

Thank you Marion for your video. It was so nice to see and listen to your mesmerising demonstration and the inktense just finished this moths wings . That Orange was made for this beautiful moth. seeing the three together is just amazing, I don't feel It matters about the size, it maybe that to put them in proportion looses the beauty of the stitching. It is 1.30 and I am enjoying a cuppa while I have one of those ,wake up in the middle of the night moments and need a cup of tea before trying to go back to sleep, so thank you for keeping me company 😂

Amazing how you capture these lovely moths. I never knew the spots are so individual. Thanks for sharing your moth knowledge. The translation in German would be a night folder (Nachtfalter) and a moth (Motte) would only be used for moths that destroy wool or flour.
@marionsworld242 ай бұрын
That's very interesting... In English we call them all moths. Then you'd add another word at the front... So it could be a clothes moth or wool moth or flour moth..
