At the contrary, the Star-Spangled Banner and the God Save The King are mostly spread tough the world by cultural impact. At the same time, due to the mixed Arabic-Persian alphabet during the Ottoman period, many Turkish words were forgotten and Arabic words began to be used, which explains the literacy rate of 3%-5%. Fortunately, Ataturk increased literacy by making the Alphabet Revolution and introduced old Turkish words into Turkish, but even today some Turks want the Ottoman Empire. But the young population is more knowledgeable on these issues and at least it gives hope for the future. Of course, these are my thoughts and opinions.

The US, French and Russian are probably in the most famous group. That Germany and the UK are so low are simply wrong. With all respect India is not that well known - and if it is about number of people on the country - the China is not even on the list. I would say 1. UK, 2. French 3. USA 4. Germany and 5. Russia 6. India and then China. I found the Ukrainian one - spot on . Interesting list thoug!

I'm from Italy, we usually listen to anthems only in sporting events. If we talk about "famous" in terms of population, it is obvious that the states with the most population prevail. I knew 4 out the 20 anthems. Doesn't really surprise me given how much I'm into classical music and how I've also had a passing interest with anthems. 3 of these anthem melodies, I have heard in classical music pieces, the other I recognize cause it's from where I was born. The ones I have heard in classical music pieces are: German -> Haydn String Quartet in G Hob. III:77 "Emperor", piano arrangement of said quartet, and Das Kaiserlied Hob. XXVIa:43 UK -> Beethoven 7 Variations on "God save the King" French -> Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture And the one from where I was born is the USA anthem.

that guy is NOT turkish. Turkey's national personification is in fact a woman. This guy has no idea what he's doing as the person he put there is not the composer who composed the anthem nor is he the poet who wrote the poem. That guy doesn't even look Turkish. I've been living here all my life unfortunately and i have maybe seen one person who looks like that in my entire life. Like, it's not ecen Ottoman as that type of head dress was banned in the ottoman empire long before the civil war and the war of independence had started and the Modern Republic of Turkey was established.

But the Brazilian national anthem is a 1000 for its beautiful lyrics and music. It is worth remembering that only half of it was presented here. I like this idea, but I take issue with your methodology here. "More popular" implies to me popular globally. That countries with a huge population, like Russia and India, have lots of views on their anthems, is hardly surprising, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a globally popular tune. Similarly, it's hardly surprising that China doesn't show up in this list, because KZbin is banned in China. Ideally, you would have found a way to factor in the population for each country, specifically the number of people with internet access (numbers virtue of the Wikipedia article "List of countries by number of Internet users") and somehow take into account the fact that KZbin is or has been banned in several countries (there is also a Wikipedia article about that). It's a bit more complex, but I think better methodology
