I’ve just watched this walk from a few years ago, one of your best and most comprehensive visits anywhere I think. I particularly like the captions pointing out the landmarks of interest, and the relevant dates. It must have involved a bit of extra work and research. Much appreciated.

We love taking the Thames boat down to Greenwich for the day... it gives you a sense of how people traveled in the 1600’s on the river. So much history there and great views of London from the observatory on the hill.

I live in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and not explored these areas to this extent (always thought it too touristy!😏). This video has given me the impetus to do so when circumstances allow it. Thanks for sharing!

Live right next to the park and it's so nice to watch this and recapture the buzz of Greenwich in summer. My wife was sure we were having a beer by the old brewery that day and sulked you missed us.

I had a strange experience in the Queen's bedchamber. I felt as if I had been there before. There is a story of a ghost haunting the tulip staircase, I hoped to have a feeling there but nothing. Such a lovely little house.

Hello Watched Walker I have been waiting a long time to see this video. We come to London once a year and I am always watching for someone filming ie you when we are out. I have finally found myself in this video. At the 1hr 29 sec mark you see me sitting in the Bryons in a yellow shirt. At the time I saw you walk towards the pier with your camera on a gimbal, you have a backpack and you are in a green shirt and I said to Sandra there is the watched walker and we missed the opportunity to be on one of your walk videos. Now I see I did. LOL This was a great walking video, the Queen's house, the Maritime Museum, the Greenwich Market, the Painted hall, and spot where Thor defeated the black elves, ok the place where Queenie was born.We love Greenwich, we will enjoy watching this one again and again. Thanks Take Care Chris and Sandra of Canada.

Chris, wow, that's great you made it into the video, though it's a shame you weren't outside as you could have come over and said hello. Take care and greetings to Canada 🙂

Ivan, those stairs weren't too bad, it was walking up and down the hill in Greenwich Park prior to this walk that really tired me out! 🤣

Maritime Greenwich is recognized as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO and is a Masterpiece of Human Creative Genius, not because it is accurate to the earth’s 0° latitude or genius’ scientific fancy, but because its interior magnificent classical murals are comparable to the Vatican Sistine Chapel. Maritime Greenwich is the beginning of the global latitude 0°, and it is an indispensable existence for the universal navigation and positioning around the world. Now the Greenwich Meridian and Greenwich mean time are already one of the Earth Standard Time and the Meridian.

Hi WW, ah what a coincidence, we've arranged a break away in Greenwich and planned on doing some filming there. (We'll have to film a few different areas!)... Ah well great minds and all that! BTW I see you changed over to the Osmo a while back. We've been contemplating getting the GoPro Hero 9, but feel the Osmo does better in low light. Any thoughts on that, you do seem to get some good eve' footage out of the Osmo?
@WatchedWalker4 жыл бұрын
Hi LW, don't worry about filming the same things in Greenwich, have a great time. I'm not sure about the latest GoPro, I'll hold off for a while I think. I was hoping they would add a larger sensor for better night recording, but from the footage I've seen on YT, it's actually worse in low light than the previous version.
@LivingWalks4 жыл бұрын
Ah yes just as we were thinking WW. I think we'll hold off too. While I'm here I wonder if you can offer any simple advice to us. As people have stopped traveling we've struggling to get traffic (well I'm not sure if it's mainly for that reason, or if there's something fundamental we're missing)? Any simple advice most welcome! All the best to you as always.
@WatchedWalker4 жыл бұрын
LW, I think you're doing a great job, just keep plugging away and things will improve once people are thinking about travelling again.

The Kings room were all dressed in red silk brocade walls and coverings. The Queen's bedchamber was in silver-grey brocade and the bed and walls covered the same. Seems they have removed all the furniture from both areas. It was lovely, I still have photo in my mind of the Queens bed.

I can see this video says 21 hours ago but there are no people with face masks. Was it filmed before the pandemic? Or am I right in thinking the UK is doomed? PS Thank you for your videos. Due to pandemic and my disability I can't get out of the house anymore, so for me your videos are wonderful. Like walking again. :)
