I honestly don't know. Maybe what you see is the hyper form since it's even faster than the previous version (and harder to control). Probably didn't want to use the flashing colors since it's one of the reason you don't see Hyper forms in other Sonic games. I've used the savefile from the older version (which works BTW), that had all X Ranks acquired.

Myron Stewart Same! Sonic Colors DS was and sorta still is my all time favorite Sonic game! Shame it didn't go on being a actual Rush 3 since it pretty much fixed all the problems the Rush games suffered from. Ranging from level design to even adding new abilities like the Stomp or the ability to finally air boost in a Rush like game! All that was missing was the Trick Actions and Blaze as a playable character!

Mike Anthony I see what you mean. I played Sonic Rush after playing Sonic Colors, and it was confusing and difficult to play (especially on a keyboard). Then again, I'm a newcomer to the 2D boost games

Myron Stewart You want confusing? Try playing Colors DS for an hour and then go play Rush or Rush Adventure. See how long you can go without accidently trying to Stomp or Air Boost. I had so many moments where muscle memory took over and I tried to do both those moves but of course nothing happened! XD

Well, neither did it cross mine, but i noticed that simply transforming made me go Super and thought, "maybe I need more rings before transforming" and thought maybe I could return to normal by redoing the action command, and behold, I turned Hyper.

Not really. This newer version has its own separate download. But you can transfer the save file from the older version and it'll work on the newer version. That's how I did it.

If it comforts you, I played your fangame up until "Stardust Garden" (that zone after the Chemical Plant one) or whatever it's called and stopped there. I was having a miserable time throughout. There are so many things wrong with it... You begged me to play it. I expected something at the very least tolerable. Yours is really bad. I'm sorry. Just jump over that gap and jump boost to the next platform. The rings are where you're supposed to stand. I suggest you stop spamming. As for your problem, just click "Download anyway", even if Google says it can't scan for viruses, since it's archived. Is this the first time you're downloading using Google Drive? It's pretty standard stuff...

Super cool game but I wish you could see more of the characters and not the special effects, seems like you play speedy mass of effects rather than sonic. For me, half the fun of playing sonic is seeing the character do cool stuff while speedrunning a stage.
