If you put personality aside, Mark Gastineau was completely right about what Brett and the Packers O-Line did. Give your best, on every play, every down, every time. No bullshit. Strahan's record was tainted and the core tenet of sports was violated by Favre.

Yeah he has multiple brain diseases and CTE you wouldn’t be there either.. putting him on screen like this is sad. Dude clearly is not all there but they want to exploit it anyways. Putting hidden cameras on him during the farve interaction is very sad.

I don't have a dog in the fight but that was clearly a set up to give Strahan the record. Green bay had the game wrapped up with a little over two minutes left in the game. Green bay was just burning the remaining time off the clock and for no reason Favre drops back and rolls right over to strahan and hits the deck? Gastineau's argument wouldn't hold water if it wasn't for the nonsensical play called giving the circumstances at that point in the game. And the historic implications. As much as losing the record ate at Mark Gastineau imagine at how much it could be eating at Michael Strahan the way he won it.

Favre definitely took a dive there, but it's pretty sad to still be crying about it. I get how important it was but, you're a grown up.

Mark has some serious issues. But, he got his revenge just by scaring the hell out of Brett. Brett was ready to be tackled, punched, shot. This crazy, old, angry , bitter , man. He needs some serious help. AND, did Brett take a dive? maybe. But he was going down no matter what he may have tried. But, he could have made it look a little better for the sake of Gastineau and Strahan.

Whether Marks behavior or not, just shows you how biased the hall of fame is. How is Klecko in and not Mark? Everyone knows Mark was the man on the Jets. Its sad how these HOF pick and choose who they like and dont base things on just their playing. From Rose to Garvey to Dave Parker to Mark Gaustineau and others. The HOF are filled with players who were great who maybe weren't the best teammates. Ones that were womanizers. Or drunks etc. Some got in physical fights and intimidated or bullied officials and umpires. They should change the name from HOF to the Hall Of Good Boys.

@@BlackSheep883-d7n Favre became embroiled in Mississippi's biggest fraud case in the state's history. He's one of 38 defendants in a civil law suit. Filed by the Mississippi department of human services . Seeking to recoup the money Temporary assistance for needy families. Funds that were diverted to the rich and powerful. State audit found $77 million dollars in welfare funds were misspent. Some went to Farves daughters college to build a state of the art facility.

@@leonardwilliams7772 in that season no. He sacked favre in the last minute of the last game of that season. It was their last game of that season. He wanted to gift strahan the record not once thinking about the guy who was losing it. It’s easy for people to say get over it. Can you just get over someone stealing something that defined your career? Records are broken by someone’s effort not by being gifted to them.

I love Brett Favre. His silence speaks volumes. He knows Gastineau has a legitimate gripe. I think the only thing Brett could have said was, "I'm sorry you're hurt." Not going to change anything with Gastineau but it's at least acknowledging his pain.
