Wow, just wow. Another amazing version of Sultans of Swing. I am hard pressed to name a favourite one, and happy I don't have to. I think it is a testament to a great piece of music that there can be so many versions to enjoy, and a testament to the musical genius of Knopfler/Dire Straits that they seem to produce a unique version of unparalleled quality every time they do a live performance. Every live version of sos seems to bring something new to the table, and in terms of freshness, this one takes the cake for me. I guess my love affair with sos started about 20 years ago, when I first heard a live version of sos on the 'live at the bbc' cd I got as a present from a dear friend. I always really enjoyed the studio version, but the live version just blew me away. Little did I know there are so many out there, and thank God for the internet and KZbin to have such easy access to them. I am not yet done exploring all the versions, but I intend to take my time for it!

YES. This is the version I've been looking for. By far the best. The break at 6:47 calms me down just enough so that when the song starts getting intense again, it perfectly matches my emotions and winds me up. It's not just the guitar either - the bass slide at 9:37 gives me goosebumps, for example. :)

many guitarist i know can only talk about guitar note speed, and i answer very simply, try to play this part @9:20 and follow as it accelerates ... you can be sure non is capable of doing this, even professional guitarists, at least as properly as MK, it doesn’t necessarily sound like tough but actually it really requires a complex finger speed and precise timing and articulation, that you need to specifically exercise on and on
