Great reaction man - perfectly put at the end. You’re damn right about the interplay between violin and guitar on this song. Beautiful.

Love this song. Fantastic tune. Keep bring in the solo Knopfler. I really look forward to these. From this same album, check out Speedway at Nazareth.

I remember hearing this on the radio for the first time. It immediately peaked my interest and within seconds I knew it was Mark Knopfler. Wonderful stuff. I recommend Boom Like That! next.

Yes, all the lyrics straight from Ray Kroc's Autobiography. "Competition, send em south if they're gonna drown put a hose in their mouth do not pass go go straight to hell I smell that meat hook smell!"

Thank you for reacting to Mark Knopfler solo music! Us Knopfler fans feel like we are 'in on something' that everybody else is missing. The man is a genius! Look for a good live version of BORDER REIVER, but really just go through it all. I have a playlist of about 80 of his solo songs. Thanks again!

A classic MK potboiler( Dire Straits had many potboiler songs too)...just slowly build...the violin was the transition...sweet....

I saw him live....the only problem was he was playing an arena and the acoustics were awful. He is meant to play in a smaller more intimate setting. I remember when this came out like 20 years ago. This one is from the same album as the title track which you may remember reacting to Tre...but a ways back....collaboration with James Taylor.

I've gone to at least one show from every tour he's done since On Every Street in 92. It's my every 3 or 4 year ritual, really look forward to them. You're definitely correct, he's better in the smaller and more intimate settings.
