Mark is incorrect about Omega 3 to 6 ratio b/w grain fed and grass finished. Grass finished is what you want much higher omega 3s in it with some being 1 to 1 or 1 to 3. Grain fed can be like 1-12 to 1 to 16.

Actually, if you compare prices, it is not even close to being the most expensive. Sprouts is by far the highest. Hy-Vee ia even higher than Whole Foods.

All these diets out there but this is good. Even if you like broccoli just eat it. Boiling/steaming will kill any plant toxins anyway. As long as the food isn’t highly processed then eat it.

yeah i think the fatty acid profiles of beef, make little difference, thanks to the cows four stomachs. if you buy meat from monogastric animals, you do have to pay more attention to that.

I love Primal Kitchen products and try as many as I can find. More recently, I’m noticing PK packaged in plastic bottles which is disappointing. I buy only the glass bottles. My fav PK product is the ketchup, it’s the best!

Marbling does taste great and maybe the fatty acid profiles are not significantly different, but I wonder if there is more to the equation that isn't being considered? Maybe even something in the world of energetics that equates to it not making sense to put animals into an unhealthy disease state before consuming them? Maybe we will find out someday

Linoleic acid? Doesn't really come down to the animal, it comes down to the feed. For instance, a pasture raised chicken that is given no grain will have less linoleic acid than grain fed beef. Pasture-raised chicken meat tends to be higher in iron, higher in Omega 3, have a lower Omega 6:3 ratio, and be higher in antioxidants (Vitamin E, for example). Pasture-raised eggs have higher Omega 3s, a lower Omega 6:3 ratio, increased vitamin D, and more antioxidants. It's the same with Salmon, compare a wild caught Salmon and a farmed Salmon, one is healthy the other one isn't

Sadly, a lot of people are going to rush to their freezers and throw away their chicken and pork just because Mark Sisson says he doesn't eat it. Then it becomes a commercial for Primal Kitchen...overpriced salad dressings you can make homemade for cheap. And you don't own Primal Kitchen anymore...you sold out to Big Food when KraftHeinz purchased Primal Kitchen from you for $200 million, which is why you can afford to shop at Whole Foods and pay $30/lbs. for a steak.
