@@neilprice513 No, that's not what happened. They had ramped down on all characters that Perlmutter and Disney did not own the rights to. They did not want to build up the IP to which they had no movie rights. That included the X-men, too. So they tried to hype the Inhumans as an X-men replacement while hoping they could buy back rights to the FF and others, if they kept tanking. Once Disney got Fox, the FF began to make appearances in the comics again. There's no excuse any more, since Feige confirmed a FF movie is in the works. This book would have been a great venue to premiere a new FF story, which would have made it far more collectable, IMO, jacking up sales, especially with a FF variant cover.

Crylec - it’s basically what one could term the outrage mob and the weirdos: people with bad ideas and philosophy that they hold on to despite how many times people prove them flawed. And when confronted, the scream all the -ism buzzwords until the other party is booted off. All the while they are hypocrites who don’t practice what they preach. That is what typically people mean by “The Left,” not the rational left, who can be reasoned with; the irrational, far left. Best examples are Antifa (in being “antifascist” they employ the same tactics as historical fascists like the nazis), the Nu-wave socialists/communists (while having all the benefits of a capitalist society, they cannot see the fact it’s because of capitalism they thrive, and want to force all down that route despite it killing millions, harming the environment, etc.), and SJWs (who cry the loudest for diversity, but are really using people as tokens and stepping blocks for their own gain at best, or as a reverse slippery slope to allow ludicrous tumblr ideas like headmates to be accepted and downright awful ideas like Minor Attracted Persons (their word for pedophiles) to be accepted at worst. To add to SJWs, they also latch on to legitimate causes and filling them with utter nonsense and unattainable/ unworkable goals. Best instance is how the metoo era has ended up deepening the divide between men and women in the workplace. Basically a bunch of bullies and hypocrites with a holier than thou attitude and a megaphone.

When I was a kid I worked in tobacco and on farms and such ( really the best job for an 11- 15 yr old in North Carolina back in the 80's) I worked the tobacco fields and such along side black folks, we all made the same money, we all did the same work ( boys, girls, men and women) hell the owner of the farms second in command was a black man ( he gave the man a house and a good plot of land for him to farm and call his own)......we worked together and made money, we got along, we laughed, we cried we even went to the same school together....if that doesn't scream land of opportunity I don't know what does....or does Waid only consider the entertainment industry the only industry that matters? He's an elitist POS.... The real question you have to ask yourself here is why in God's green earth would anyone pick Mark Waid to write anything associated with Captain America? That's like asking Adolf Hitler to do the write-up for a dime novel where the main character was an openly Jewish lesbian.. the text in question is going to be full of hate and distain for the main character let alone the ideals that character should represent. Steve Rogers is a World War II war veteran, and as such any liberal writer really should write him likes a Hank Hill Everyman conservative who's slightly right of Center but is willing to openly debate ideals that are far left of center in a very civil fashion. Because that's how people were in the 1940s. Sure they didn't agree with leftist politics but 9 out of 10 times they were very polite in the way that they told you you were an idiot. Better than many other places, yes without a doubt, but the very best there is- no. There are a lot of things we're behind on that we make up with by having a wider variety open to the public. So that's my take on it. Not the best or the worst. We have a shit ton of more opertunities than others claim but there are some things we do lack on. Haters need to relax and so do the insane lovers. When I do travel, things will change, or rather they are way more subject to change but for now, I can't just blindly believe or disbelieve you.

I really think that Disney might be going to shut down the Marvel comics division, as it makes them no money and they have decades of stories saved up to use for the MCU. If they can't stop the "extreme left political activism" problems inside their subsidiary companies, like Marvel ESPN etc. and having them make money again, they will just cut their losses shutting them down. It is more likely that Disney will contract out the comics to smaller companies and will just keep the IP's running that way (copyright and other legal reasons).

I bought a special edition of Kingdom Come because it's a classic, but I won't buy anything else with this guy's name on it. Waid isn't the only one who tries to use Captain America to further their own political agenda. Coates did the same thing in the first couple of issues of his run on Cap by making him an Antifa member.
