Actually, "tar baby" is accurate, in a way. In the wonderful Uncle Remus story, the tar baby is a small dummy made of tar, designed as a trap. Bre'r Rabbit strolls by, greets the tar baby, takes umbrage at it's silence, and strikes it. But his hand sticks to it, and the angrier he gets, and the more he punches and kicks it, the more stuck he gets. If you find yourself in a fight that _you_ started over something trivial, your every attack makes _your_ situation worse, and come to think of it the whole mess is 100% your own fault, that's when you know you're fighting a tar baby. Mark Waid, I hope you're reading this. (These days some people consider "tar baby" a racial slur, so be careful using it around Hydrocarbon-Americans.)

There's an interview that's a special feature on the (I think) Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (or possibly Superman: Doomsday or Superman/Batman: Apocalypse) Blu-ray where he's obviously disturbed that Lex Luther is president of the USA and uses terms like "Can you imagine!" The first insane comic work I can remember him doing was "strange fruit" in 2015. He called out by all kinds of people for that book and it was really embarrasing. Maybe you should rewrite the entire series in an Abridged format, kind of like what 4thLetter did with their "Ultimate Edit" trilogy. They took Jeph Loeb's Ultimates 3, Ultimatum, and New Ultimates (which ranged from passable to godawful) and turned them into one of the funniest series of recontextualized artwork that I've ever seen and read in my life.

Total ships through Diamond for Ignited #2 were 4199. I would tend to think that they are still overshipping by around 50% and that actual orders might be in the 2000 range. The Humanoids Mags book (strangelands) launched with ships of around 5300 indicating that there was far less demand for that book than Ignited.

One important caveat, why would students protest FOR teachers to carry guns at school, when teachers are overworked and stressed out, underpaid to being with, they think that's a good idea when they see what teachers are like now? No school I've worked at, are either the teachers or kids for that idea, nor are any teachers or students in any country asking for it. To have cops come into a school and see any adult with a gun and not confuse who the terrorist is?
