I just have to say something about the so called father who accused his daughters of clogging the toilet. The writer called him entitled, but abuse is what it was. There is never any excuse to abuse a child. While he never physically laid a hand on them he withheld food and verbally and mentally abused them. And it wouldn't be a stretch to say he was a pervert for wanting their panties.
@Dohyden22 жыл бұрын
precisely, I think that maybe because he and his wife are separated he was coming up with some hairbrained scheme to have the ex-wife pay for a new toilet. Obviously the correct way to have that conversation would be to say "Hey, I found some underwear in the toilet. It doesn't matter who it is, and no one is in trouble, but that's not where we put soiled underwear" But I assume there was no underwear in the first place and that his hope was that one of his daughters were on their period and he could frame them with breaking to toilet to cover all or half the costs of replacing it.
@utatanepiko70872 жыл бұрын
@@Dohyden2 He was yelling because there was underwear in the toilet? I thought he was only asking them for their underwear to inspect them for blood since there was "blood in the toilet" I thought it was clogged normally like like with human feces? Either way though, this was abuse, not just entitlement

Once you own a boat or go for trips on a boat you get blamed for every tampons down the head. Ya was on a dive charter I was blamed for a clogged head. Not only was it not my time I said I myself with my sisters were made to unclog a head that was blocked by an obstruction not a tampon. I would never toss feminine items down a head or toilet , when you can place them in the proper disposal places. Turns out the night before they did a wine moonlight cruse. Since none of us had been to the head that AM. We know no one on the AM charter did the clog.

If a woman had her kid stand for hours demanding her kid confess to something they didn’t do. Then stand over that kid and do an aggressive stance breathing down on them hate. This is how kids get PTSD. The parent is mentally f.ing with them. That women would definitely be called abs..and YTA …So stand ,no food… what is he military? The kids are living in fear of their DAD. But when the boy comes home dose he ask him if he may have accidentally thrown something down the can? Like a razor paper towel ect. No .onlythe girls are taking the blame . And if they live in an apartment it may not have been anything his kids did. But the 4 year old upstairs flushing cars, or plastic fish ect. Dad should have the girls help unclog said can. And give them valuable tools on how to fix a problem not create one every time they look at a toilet.

Years ago I was at a friend's party and a man I didn't know offered to get me a drink. I said that I didn't drink, and he said "What did you come to the party for if you don't drink?" as if the only reason to go to a friend's party is to throw alcohol down your neck as fast as possible until you fall over. I've also had dates try to spike my plain Coke; one tried rum, which was pointless as I could smell it from ten feet away. And even vodka was not completely undetectable. What is it with blokes thinking that if I don't voluntarily want to get drunk enough to say Yes, they can still score by forcing a drunken Yes upon me? Later I said that I couldn't drink because of the medication I was on, but still - people don't demand to know why other people don't smoke or why you don't take hard drugs, but still think it's ok to demand why you don't drink?

I have never been officially diagnosed with OCD. However, I recognize some of the symptoms. Others have, too. I get a sudden urge, uncontrollable, overwhelming even sometimes, and very necessary, to stroke the keys on the keyboard three or four times. Not press, just stroke. Then suddenly I feel "balanced" and peaceful? again. It's a weird feeling and I have learned to tell people, "I'm sorry, but I HAVE to touch the keys.. I'm OCD." And everyone has been understanding and let me do the ritual. Then I get back to training them. When at my own computer, I don't apologize, as it's m computer. But when at someone else's station, the urge comes on9not every time, either). More embarrassingly, sometimes I have to "unwind" myself. As if I'm an a rope or string and it will get tangled if I turn in one direction too much without going back the other direction. I also have to, often, trace over what I'd written or drawn several times. It can see it's clear and legible, and it gets worse the more I trace over it, but something inside me tells me that it's not "dark enough" or "clear enough", as if the ink or graphite were faded if I didn't trace over. I have to force myself to stop on those occasions because I'm literally making a mess of what I ahd been doing. Sometimes to the pint f needing to corss out and start again or to erase or white out the original and start again. As these seem to be harmless rituals, I never bothered to get tested or diagnosed . . . except that last one now I think on it. I have others, but those are the three everyone comments on.

I love the “volunteer” story. I have a kind of similar story. Very different facts but the gist is similar anyway. I had graduated from high school the previous year. I returned for Homecoming, and was at the game when the band director, a friend as well as my former teacher, came over and told me his bass drummer had not shown up. They were able to do the halftime marching show without him, but some of the cheers and songs would be better if someone banged the drum. I had played bass drum for marching band (other instruments for jazz and concert bands), and I didn’t mind, so I went and sat next to him, a couple bleachers above the actual band, whose members were all in uniform. Back then I smoked (in fact, long story short, I’d picked up a lot of detention during high school for illicit smoking. My band director friend knew about it-which is why what happened next amused him). He also smoked and when he lit up (I’m dating myself but back then adults could smoke on school grounds) I pulled out a cigarette and he lit mine too. We were chatting and I was beating the drum off and on when the cheering section needed a little thunder, when this man I’d never seen before came over and told me to “put it out.” My friend was already chuckling when I stared at the guy and asked “why?” He glared at me and said, “you’re already getting ten hours’ detention-care to make it twenty?” It dawned on me who this guy was-I’d just heard a story about the hardass new vice principal that nobody liked. I grinned and replied, “sure, why not?” He got really red in the face and sputtered-clearly hadn’t expected that answer-then said, “that’s a two week suspension, smarty pants.” The “smarty pants” did it-I started laughing along with my friend. By then half the band and cheering section had tuned in -most of them knew me from the previous year, so they were trying not to laugh as well. The VP glanced around, still red in the face, and said, “What the Sam Hill is wrong with you people?” Which of course set everyone off again. By the time the band director managed to explain, the poor man looked like he might explode. He just stood there for another minute or so, his entire body in a clench as he tried to figure out what to do next. Finally, he muttered “fuck it” and stomped off- and of course those of us who’d heard his inappropriate language burst out laughing again. My band director friend caught hell that Monday for not clueing him in before he made a fool of himself, but the principal pointed out that he might have noticed that I wasn’t in uniform and wasn’t sitting with the band, and he could have saved himself a lot of embarrassment by just asking who I was. As I understand it, the man didn’t finish out the school year because he didn’t take the lesson, and continued to dole out disciplinary actions before learning the facts about situations. A few parents complained and he was invited to resign.

The father with the blocked toilet reminds me of an incident at my old school. This was YEARS after I had finished college & was working. But the “primary school” (I’m in UK) I don’t know how the newer grade system worked. Back when I was in school you went to Primary from 4/5yo until 8/9 when you went into Junior School until 12/13 when you moved into Senior School. So the Primary school was little kids from right out of Nursery/Kindergarten, well there was apparently a pooping issue, someone was not wiping their butt properly, then they touched the cubicle walls and left poop stains. Gross I know, but some of these kids were like 4yo and kids were not screened for any issues back then. So some of these kids had behavioural issues, some were were not neurotypical. Well the teacher in the classroom closest to those toilets decided it MUST be someone from their class. Ignoring the fact there were 6 classrooms on that corridor. So, I swear this is 100% legit, because you’re about to go shocked pikachu face... This teacher made the entire class line up to get their underwear “inspected” and to bend over to have their bottoms checked for “unclean habits” the teacher even “touched” the kids to check between their cheeks! This came out over several days of kids speaking up... most were afraid to speak, because they’d been told they’d get spanked if their parents found out that they were “dirty”. But kids were afraid of school, some were bedwetting, others wound up sick because they were afraid to poop. The teacher was fired eventually for this, but did NOT lose their licence and was NOT arrested. Oh and that teacher? She was a frigging woman in her late 50s apparently she got off with a deal whereby the cops would not be called as long as she retired and left ASAP. Eventually the parents filed against the school and their lawyers brought the cops in. The headmistress also lost her job, cos teacher was her friend and she didn’t want her friend to be hurt by this “petty drama” both women finally lost their pension and were stripped of their teacher’s licence...

Pretty sure I have a... milder form of OCD than the bootlace-tying wife. Most of the things I do are helpful. How do I gauge this? When someone asks, "Why do you do that?" I tell them, and they look floored. "I never thought of that... That's a good idea!" Cashier work. Tenth bill from the bottom in the ones I flip green side up, and all others (all denominations) are completely bankfaced, heads up. Why? Well, that (usually) gives me the warning to contact someone to bring me more before I run out. Not all transactions are cash, and it's rare to need to give out more than 3 ones to any one person, but I can handle at least two where I give out four singles. (shrugs) I've run out before, I hate making the line wait on something that a small tic like this can fix. I've taken over drawers with three or fewer ones, which I only find out once the drawer pops open to give change. HATE THAT. Took over for a sometimes-supervisor; she'd left only a single one in the till! If you haven't cashiered, perhaps you've been the customer, wondering why the cashier wasn't on top of their change situation. Well. I try really, really hard for that need for change to interfere with the swift checking out of my customers. I keep a box knife on me at all times when at work. Don't like struggling to open the new box of bags, and some places threaten to take your pens away if you use them to break the tape. Don't understand or approve of that. Pens are every bit as dangerous (in the wrong hands) even if you don't use them to break the tape seal you're trying to get past, and you still need them. I always carry my own pen (or two) with me to work, because far too often I've needed one, and work didn't have one for me. I often carry a Sharpie to work if I might need to mark things, and need it bold enough to spot from a distance. At home, I have ONE room I allow to be at least somewhat messy. It's usually the room I sleep in. These are all things that I ran across one too many times and said, "I just need to carry my own (item) so I don't have to hunt for one work should be supplying me with." Again, when I explain why I do it, the logic of it seems to smack others upside the head, and they wonder out loud how I ever thought of that. Finding I need X, and work not supplying X, of course!

About the boots: You said they are the kind that both zip and tie, but that the zip doesn't/can't replace the tying, right? What if you had her tie them while on your feet, then use the zip to loosen them enough to take them off or put them on. That way she will (1) see that they are tied already, (2) be reassured that they are tied correctly - beause she was the one to do it - and (3)MAYBE be able to cross them off of her compulsive "have to" list of things to do. I don't know if that will work but it's what came to my mind as a compromise. Especially if this is beyond her comfortable control. If it's a beauty thing get a decorative screen to put around your gear maybe, so she isn't seeing it every night. Idk if this helps but I'm just so heartwarmed to see that you legit love her enough to want to support her no matter what. Great hubby!

I live in Canada and my Sister is a Therapist that does EMDR and has seen miraculous changes. She has had war Vets with PTSD who have had their first full night's sleep after a session. And think about it, 2 minutes to put on boots, 2 minutes to find your keys, 2 minutes on driving a slower route / traffic, 2 minutes to find the patient...that's 8 minutes... can you hold your breath for 8 minutes? cos that's brain death territory for someone not breathing... Every minute counts, they all add up. That wife infuriates me, she is trivialising a key stone of modern, life saving, emergency response services.

Reminder of the day: Emotional support animals don't have public access rights, unlike service dogs. If your dog has EVER attacked someone - they should not be doing public access work.

About the weight blow-up: All of the comments plus this. Don't feel bad for still loving the man you thought he was. He may have decided to change completely years ago, but you only "lost" him months ago. It's ok to mourn the "death" of your friend and love, but don't confuse that with thinking that he will ever come back to being the guy you fell for. He is way too happy being his new self and has already proven that he is willing to lie to "keep" you. So move on but understand that emotions won't move at the same speed as logic and that it is ok to mourn and love the man you lost. (I hope this makes sense. I don't know if I explained it very well.)

My daughter is a first responder. Her boots lace up for a perfect fit, but then they never get untied because they have zippers in the back. So maybe those boots would be helpful for the op with ocd gf. You just have to get her to not zip them up.edit for spellcheck

I don't know the exact details...but there are some states/countries, that have worker protection laws that allow workers to be able to take time off work (sometimes with pay) for mental health reasons. Burnout is a real mental health issue and it can trigger and/or create other issues.

1:35:04 this! There could be a serious mental problem, but everything is on the wife’s terms and then the wife minimizes what the husband does and how he feels. That’s the part that’s hard to forgive.

EMT: I don't blame him one bit and his reactions was completely normal and made the point. It's not an overreaction. Then she ties his boots again?!?! She's an idiot! Maybe he should put his boots in a bag so they're out of sight....never mind, he's tried similar. Keeping them in the car seems to be the best idea until a better solution comes up.

Obesity can also cause nerve damage. My dad was over 400 pounds. He was a big guy all of his life even through ones twos threes all of it till he died in he got to a point where that spot that tells us we have to go the bathroom that her bladder is full he couldn’t feel that anymore. So he tried to put himself on the schedule but working at pro shop so lotta times can’t just tell the customer to leave and go bathroom

All I thought about with the clogged toilet was when our brother had constapation . He pushed out a huge poop . With a lot of blood from not being able to stretch. And it was too big to be flushed! He just flushed and left for school. The toilet was full and water all over the floor when the scream went out from the next kid going in. Of corse dad was blaming us girls seeing the blood . Until he saw what wasn’t going …. Our dad did apologize to us. But then patted my brother on the back for doing something so Manly! Ya sure dad! I think he just didn’t want him to be embarrassed.

To the last OP: this is your life for as long as you stay with him. He has to make the changes needed, and at the present time he has no incentive to change. If you cannot live like this, YOU will have to leave. That might provide the jolt he needs.

Sounds like sil has been looking for an excuse to keep the 4yo away from you and just decided to stupidly say that his heroic defense of you was ‘snapping’ so she can pretend that’s why she doesn’t want the child to visit you. She’s so stupid that she doesn’t realize that the dog would likely lay his life down to save the child from ANY threat. Edit to add, Thor can go in Walmart, they let any kind of dog in there, even ones that crap in their floors and stink.

That EMT needs to get his wife to the Dr. For her Obsessive compulsive disorder. She is not disrespecting his property she cannot help herself. Especially if she is blaming him. Especially if she cannot stop herself of this. Also if you get her to sign a statement after she repeats the statement several times. Explain that this is a promissory note. You can use this at the Dr. Office to illustrate how bad the problem is. He should have just explained imagine that the rain was someone’s life …you didn’t make it out of the house before time ran out. ..I can’t have you kill somebody imagine how I feel. When I cut it close. It’s just a matter of time. Then give her the halves rule. In fact I would give her the basic First Responder manual. She needs to understand how time is the enemy. She has OCD. She needs to get to the DR.

1:13:32 its a sad truth. the cops wont do anything till its too late, with how many people die from stalkers/harassment, id think by now it'll be taken more serous. people shouldnt be to the point where their house is broken into, they are in the hospital, or fucking dead, or near death for the cops to be like oh this is serous, we need to do something about it. your the damn cops, your job is/was supposed to protect the people, that person making multiple reports on said stalker and being told cant do anything unless shes harmed says otherwise, you should do something before it gets that far, if they are harmed, are you really protecting them? or protecting the assaulter

Get your new number once yes twice maybe three times not likely unless someone who has it keeps giving it to him i.e sister in law she has a thing about you and him perhaps she hopped that you would be hurt or killed be careful of her

About Tom and Lily- as a female, it annoys me to no end when a man seems to think he owns me in some way. You don't get to call dibs on a female. You don't get to stake a claim. If a female is interested in someone else, it's her call. Grow up for crying out loud. You aren't entitled to attention from anyone else.

No girl wants to talk about an insulting narcissist all night. Tom was a jerk. This is why she didn’t want to take a drink from him. He might spike her drink. He could have apologized. And maybe she might have forgiven him. But once soured your not likely to drink the milk. So if she talked up anyone else at the party would he give up the number. She would then be made at everyone associated with the friend group.

No it's definitely not "Meant to be" Tom screwed it up. If you had spent your time with Lilly talking about Tom you probably would have killed the chances for both of you. Obviously Lilly doesn't like him, and she probably doesnlike the idea of people trying to force Tom onto her. She already turned him down after her girl-friend talked him up, you wouldn't help.

I know this woman has a mental illness but she pisses me off so much. I would have divorced her. He had absolutely every reason to yell at her. He was not in the wrong. She was not taking OP seriously when he was trying to be kind. I wouldn't have apologized. She is a grown adult and pretends to not understand why it's important. Still, even the yelling didn't change anything. Again, I'd leave her. I can't believe being married to someone so stupid I'd have to bring over an officer and have an after school special talk like she is a kindergartner.
