Welcome back TCG. Nice look at a crazy vintage market. I agree - pre owned modern is best deal , especially if its a piece you want to wear regularly. Keep em coming and thank you.

CG is back ! One of my favorite watch guys. I am subscribed to them all. I like your take on the vintage market. Agree with your buying preowned, and who knows if it's going to be a good investment. Although they say never to buy in terms of investment, but I think there are exceptions to that rule. Although I have a hunch the fake patena watches aren't going to hold their value. So, yeah, I liked the video, thanks and more of the same is interesting.

Thank you! I'm glad you like the channel. I agree that the faux patina watches may not hold value the way many people hope. If that trend continues, they may end up being good investments. I also believe one should buy watches they love, but it is hard to ignore the fact that some watches hold their value better than others. Liquidity is an attractive trait even for watch buyers. I am not a watch flipper, so it matters less to me than many people I think.

Good to see movement in the channel, one of my favorites! What is your take on new vintage-looking watches? I have mixed feelings: some days I love them, some days I think they are sort of homage watches, as if not 100% of the integrity of the watch was there...

Thank you for the kind words! I think it depends on the specific watch. I can appreciate a watch with tinted lume, but I agree some of the artificial vintage looking watches go too far. Of the Omega 1957 trilogy, the Seamaster 300 is the best in my opinion. The Speedmaster is a little cheesy. Longines Nautilus looks good. Their military watch with the fake dial spotting is overboard.

Very Good Sir! I loved it! Is there a vintage Chrono I could buy for less than $1000 ? What’s your recommendation

Chrono under 1000 is tricky but look at Bulova, Tissot, or Wittnauer you might be able to come close.

Common sense seems to have abandoned many buyers, who are already more fans who want to be scammed than fans who enjoy these watches. Unfortunately this madness increases all prices of second-hand watches and that hurts us all. Some day, maybe not too far away, some abuser will ask $ 22,000.00 for an XKS with a green spot on the bezel, and some deranged will pay for it.

Reaching bubble territory?

So they keep saying. Hard to predict what the future will hold. US markets are overdue for a correction. When that happens, watches may go the same direction. But maybe it won't happen at all. Who knows.

I'll stay with the women's vintage market.

There's amazing value there! 28mm Omega Seamaster for ~$100! Vintage Tudor mini-submariner (33mm) for less than half what the full size go for! The list goes on!
