I'm not a sawyer but I did pass the test and remember the taper even before you asked. We're going to miss ZZ Mark and look forward to his return. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet him (and all the guys) at the Paul Bunyan show. The stress in that log was obvious from the rooster tail it was generating. Bill

How often do you find metal in the logs when you scan them? The overhead camera angle is good. Editing definitely becoming more interesting as a result.

@@oldtireman4665 You dont find metal very often,,, but checking can be lifesaving if there is more than say just a 2 inch old nail. Lifaving becouse even if the sawblade teeth dont get destroyd, parts of the metal can fly fast, hitting the persons near the saw!

Yessir, DON't hang the saw. At the LEAST the belts start smoking OR the Bus Motor starts cutting flips and trying to get in the doghouse with you! NOT good! I was in the scale house at the crusher and saw a great white cloud arise from one of the cone crushers and figured it tried to swaller a shovel tooth or some manganese scrap. The crew gets to get that out and go put on a set of belts. Those big electric motors don't stop. Hope ZZ has a fine trip and comes back glowing. BLESSINGS, Guys!
