My best guess is the game doesn't expect anyone to ever be over there, so it didn't know what to do with Mark's ball.

@@williamwright4813 Since it's a multiplayer online game, my guess is that lag caused the ball's position to be desynced between Mark's game and the host game, which resulted in the game trying to make sense of this by considering that the ball was still moving. The change in the ball bouncing height can be explained by variable lag time.
