A confident man is clear when he speaks, is emotionally stable, apologizes calmly with intention to iron the situation, has a life of serious interests (eg. sports). When he is with you he puts a ton of focus, but it's equally the same with his work or other interests. He respects your life as much as he is secure seeing you happy being you and doing your thing.

I have to agree with you. Confident men are also okay with the time you spend with your own friends and interests. My partner doesn't smother me. He understands that I need some personal space. He knows that if I'm struggling with something emotionally, he tells me to do whatever I need to to deal with it, but I'm here if you need me. I love that because there are times that all I was is to be held and let it pass.

Seriously Mark, I misjudged you a long time ago. From your looks and carefree vibe, I definitely thought you were just making videos because you can and your attractive and people will listen. But you are full of depth. The level of depth you explained in this video really hit home. It really made sense and I know that took a lot of consideration and work. And I can feel your a good person and that is so needed these days. I’m honestly very impressed and very much respect you. Thanks for what you do. And thank you for connecting to your own vulnerability to help others. It made a difference for me and my confidence.

All men, confident or not focus on looks & sex. It’s primal in men to look for symmetry & hip to shoulder ratio because symmetrical women are usually healthy and able to carry babies until full term with no issues, which men primarily look for if they know it or not, it’s there regardless.

I think journey vs outcome based is so important from men too. I can tell when a man just wants a girlfriend. Any girlfriend. Vs actually trying to get to know me and see if we are compatible and knowing that if it doesn’t work out he will be completely fine.

I find when I really like someone that's when it comes out but if I don't really like a guy then I'm all 3 of the things you stated. I'm working on it but it sucks to be so black and white.

I'd say those same apply to men as well plus... Confident men can voice their opinions & communicate without feeling compelled to dismiss or belittle others. A confident person will allow others to establish their place (IE "show me you can be my equal") instead of trying to dictate for them. They show give & take even in their conversation. They can be supportive without allowing themselves to be a doormat. Respect boundaries as much as they expect it in return. Confident men also don't lose their minds at the first potential sign of rejection. It's not about fitting with everyone as it is about finding the right fit.

Great video. You are succinct, clear and very relevant in comparison to many of the other love coaches I listen to. Love your work! I think confident men communicate clearly, have higher emotional intelligence and don't over compensate with compliments or gifts for the lady. They understand that they have enough to offer because they are a quality person so they rely on their character and values to shine through and attract the right women.

Hi Mark 😊 its Cindy. This video is awesome. I remember during our communication this was one of the many things you helped me with. I was confident in all areas of my life but not dating and men. I had been single for soo long and hadn't dated in years. Everything i knew was outdated and not age appropriate i learned. You suggest 30 days no contact. Even though I was skeptical, it worked! Here we are 5 years later....😊❤ I'm still watching/following, and learning. Thank you soo much for all your great advice and videos. #AskMark

Wow that’s really helpful Wants before needs !!! I guess I was doing this unintentionally because I never saw this video before this event happened.. but This guy I am dating discussed the opportunity to possibly move in with each other in the future but he said that I couldn’t bring my cats with me because he doesn’t like to live with cats he never grew up with cats around the house. Which is understandable so I told him “I respect your decision but I will not abandon my cats they are a part of me we are a package deal. So we can still be together but we will just live in different apartments no big deal.” And we ended the phone call on a good note. About 15 minutes later he called me back and said “ babe you can bring the cats.” And I was in shock.. I was like really? Lol!! Thanks so much !! I love you!! Lol but I think this is a great example of putting my wants before my needs . I put my cats before my need for love and living with my mate .

Disagree with number one. Even when I’m interacting with my friends if they call I will look at the phone buzz for a while and then when it drops, I’ll drop a text. I don’t think this will change for a man. Basically my communication language is text or talk in person but I try to avoid lengthy phone calls. That’s just how I communicate and I reckon I’m not the only person who communicates that way.

I disagree with number one, im pretty confident with myself. I don't like everything but I'm aware I am who I am and thats never going to change, im loving myself but I've also come to realise I have a life... I cannot be around eveytime he wants a call especially since we have different times with work etc. I text alot more because I can work that around my job and sleep more than a lengthy phone call. Although that said, I do make some time for a phone call if face to face isn't an option.

@@monikaozog7611 oh I don’t text to text for the hell of it.. again I’m too happy with my own company to want meaningless conversations out the blue :] I just mean I’d rather text than have lengthy phone calls all the time because you often find there’s a lot of dead air time where no one says anything and that’s cool… if you’re not busy. I’m currently in a LDR I’m UK he’s USA, we both work long shifts too so it’s hard to always be around when the other needs with our time differences.

The 68 year old dating Jackie is so different than the teen to 42 year old Jackie. I was more like #1. I had a long, dry spell in dating. From 25 -35, not a single bite. I finally decided, okay, whatever. Met my husband shortly afterward volunteering. Married for the first time at 42. Had a great marriage. After he died, I got counseling for the grief and depression. That is when I really started working on myself. Seven years later, I'm the most comfortable I have ever been in my own and in my own company. Dating wasn't a priority in my life. Fate intervened, and a friend introduced me to my partner. We've been together for a year now. Do some of the old insecurities come out? Sure! But I have the tools to deal with them and move on now. I'm proudly #2 now.

I would argue that many of the things you mentioned as 'wants' are in fact needs... they are the sort of needs that a person has to be fulfilled, not simply survive. Perhaps that language is a little more helpful for some .. this is 'survival needs' (belonging etc) over 'true life' needs (the opportunities to express oneself fully - abundant life). For me, a want is something I can live without, and still be fulfilled. An optional extra. Living with a man who doesn't cheat - there is nothing optional about that, for me. Been there, done that. Got the t-shirt. Moving on...

In a sense we came from a woman, but also a woman came from a man, (woman) men and women were meant for each other. Some of us just want that balance in our life if we were surrounded by unhealthy people and behaviors its good to indulge in people and community that display healthier examples of love & relationships interpersonally and romantically. 😌🥂

Some confident women are over confident . They make sure they get what they want and don’t care how they hurt others .I was a person who lacked confidence and self worth . This goes back to my childhood where my dad was very bad tempered and mentally abused my mother . My mother had a nervous break down and is now mentally ill . My mother was always protective and always stopped me from progressing in life and being independent due to her fear of me not being safe . I then got married to a man very similar to my father . At least I developed empathy for others and always helped people . I was always friendly even if I lacked confidence in myself . Some women have a lot of self confidence but never go out of their way to help others .

I feel at my age now (55) I am now a 'Confident Woman'. I think as one gets older most know what they want. My new guy knows that & that I still have a 17yr old son at home & I've told him that a lot of times I just can't jump & run out the door at the last minute, nor will I. If something is planned then I will definitely be there. I want a relationship w/him (he knows that) but if it doesn't happen I'm ready to let go. I will let him think about what he wants when I'm not around. I'm the type of person that needs notice prior. I used to think I was being a b**ch. It's just common courtesy.. This is not always true. Some personality types hate talking on the phone like the INFJ and therefore will have more involved conversations via text instead. For the INFJ personality type, the amount of text has nothing to do with confidence levels. There are also women who prefer to communicate via the written word, who may be very, very confidant! You have to be really very careful about judging and throwing everybody into the same category. Just saying....

Regarding the prioritising wants over needs the problem is assuming that your partner will appreciate you acting as a confident woman. Most of us will b experiencing the opposite and face partners who will make such a fuss about us going to yoga or gym or seeing our friends or relaxing (wants) over time spent with them.. and the fights n arguments tht will result may b too much to face it's easier to just spend time with the partner. It's possible when dating to just move on but in reality if you are already in a committed relationship it's not so easy to just leave one guy and move on. That's also assuming the confident woman is good looking enough to get more options coming which is not the case for everyone

I have a question about men. Especially my man. What if he was very loving and supportive and all in. Then I annoyed him and he pulls away. Then I see my fault, I apologize and do better than before because I get his point, but he never came back into the feeling that he had before. We tried several times to get back together, but every little wrong step I made he gets angry and distant again. And that for 9 month now. I don’t know what to do to show him that I really changed and understood. Do I even have a chance anymore or should I break up completely. He is very proud and stubborn and can’t talk about his feelings. I don’t understand this behavior. We had 4 wonderful years together with so much love. He can’t forgive me. And I don’t know why. I annoyed him by being a bit clingy and needy because I was afraid of loosing him because my father died and I got anxiety. For me an understandable reason and only human. How can I make him open his heart again for me.

I am not sure but I just witnessed desperate behavior in a man. He felt the need to brag about what he has, his wealth and all the things he will give a woman. The giving was too much, as if he was afraid that being himself wasn't enough. He's a great guy, though and I'd give him a chance.

Confident men don't *need* a woman. They want and choose to be with her. Vise versa as well.

Being desperate seems to be a temporal illusion. Confidence doesn't feel like the opposite of desperate. Desperate sounds arbitrary. IDK. When a guy is anxious, he'll be clingy, affectionate right away and goes out of his way. I love that about a guy. So, I don't like calling a guy like that desperate. Both the anxious and avoidant come off as narcissists. The avoidant for being clumsy with communication. The avoidant for ghosting and being appalled to be wanted to fill the needs they left the anxious as a void. The avoidant plans. The anxious pines. The anxious can't have confidence with an avoidant that doesn't express intentionality for a true committed relationship. The avoidant comes off as a player, a love bomber, a narcissist, a confused homosexual and as a mentally ill person. All that for being secretive, indirect and emotionally unavailable.

A confident man doesn’t have to mention his money-especially repeatedly- or what he can give you to spend time with him. They don’t have to ask you repeatedly for something that you’ve said no to before in a single conversation-they’re not pushy.

Maybe I want a soul-mate but it has been a decade since I have had realllly good sex….🤔😆perhaps the need can supersede the want on occasion and one can still be confident and not desperate

It is written: Therefore, beloved, being warned of this, beware lest ye fall into the error of the wicked, and fall from your affirmation. 2Petrovo 3-17 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7-15 "And I saw another angel fly in heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people. And he said with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour is come when he will judge; and worship the One who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water. And another angel, a second, followed him, saying, The great Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that made all nations drink of the wine of her fornication. And another, a third angel, followed them, saying in a loud voice, If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he will drink of the wine of God's wrath, which is prepared pure in the cup of his wrath; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment shall be for ever and ever; and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, or anyone who accepts the mark of his name. This requires the patience of the saints, those who keep God's commandments, and faith in Jesus ”(Rev. 14: 6-12). And yet, it is written: Fear God and repay Him Glory, for the hour of His judgment has come, and worship the One who made it heaven, earth, sea, and springs of water. ”- Revelation 14: 6, 7. It is written: John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And he who rejects the gift of salvation is written: Revelation 14:10 He also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared pure in the cup of His wrath, and will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. And it is also written: For there is nothing secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.Luke 8:17. This world is going away and if you want to be saved, give glory to your Creator, repent! And this is the golden verse of the Bible:For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16. Ecclesiastes 12 - 13.14 Let us hear the end of the whole word: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is all for man;14 For every hidden thing, God will bring to justice every deed, whether good or evil. Luke 6:31- And as you desire men to do unto you, so do ye to them. God bless you!

I am with married guy for years and I feel that he loves me, he calls me, spend time with me, but he doesn''t want to divorce. What should I do? I don't force him, I am honest and gentle wit him, he knows my needs, but it is always the same... Can you answer to me and talk more about this situations in your videos? I know that relationships like my often don't have perspective, but I really feel he is the one. Thank you! ❤️
