I did this particular course with Mark and I would say without hesitation, it was one of the best workshops ever. Mark knows the birds activities so well that we mere mortals get to capture some of these amazing birds. He is a great communicator and it shows in his workshops too! Recommend this to all his fans to visit him, you will love it.

Incredible photography as always Mark. These videos work perfectly well for people who have no interest in cameras as well, which is a testament to how good they are. I still think that the location/weather/your skill is 95% of the shots, but your point about high frame rate and composition is well made.

What a great video! Some years ago, I visited the Wakodahatchee Wetlands There were people there with cameras similar to the one in video. There were some nice head on shots of birds coming into roost since it was getting late. There were also lots of heron and egret nests. At one point, there was a woodpecker nest with the parents bringing food to feed their young. I imagine you could have gotten some nice shots there. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Mark, in a Q&A video you said your best to pair the A9 with the 200-600 not A7rIV which you said had problems. Ive talked to a few other KZbinrs that originally they had problems, but with later manufacture date units and software updates they said it was no longer a problem and auto focus and sharpness etc. was fine. What are your thoughts on this? because im really liking the idea of the high megapixel A7rIV and the only lens I would pick would be the 200-600mm - cheers

I thought he bit off more than he could chew, or uh swallow. I have this same camera and lens. I love the combination. I originally got the 70-200 GM but returned it after focusing issues were too prevalent. The only other lens I have besides the 200-600 is the Sigma 12-24 f/2.8. I want a couple more lenses. Either the 35 f/1.4 and 85 f/1.8 or the 50 f/1.2 and 135 f/1.8. I can’t decide.

Great video review as always, Mark! One question that I hope you will answer is this: I've heard from some that the a1 is wasted on the 200-600mm. I imagine that they think that the 200-600mm will not be able to be sharp enough for the 50MP sensor. I wonder what do you think of this as in bird photography, you often need to crop quite a bit. Thank you!

I understand that people in the photography community are willing to share but I think somethings are better left to the individual who created the special tricks kinda like Eddie Van Halen Some tricks are hard earned and a guy has a right to keep secret what he earned so I would completely understand if you weren't into it because it's really not our business..just curious is all...
