SINGAPORE - Welcome to Little India in Singapore and today we’re going on a food tour to eat some delicious Indian food - from some of the best chapatis and curry to a full banana leaf meal spread, to the best Indian hawker center street food court I can’t wait to take you on this amazing food tour.
There’s no doubt Singapore is home to an abundance of delicious Indian food - from street food to restaurants. And one of the best places to get started eating Indian food is within Singapore’s vibrant Little India. Here are the places I included in this video:
Azmi Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/Ag...) Total price - $19 SGD ($13.87 USD) - You really come here to eat chapati along with tasty accompanying dishes. I had the keema, chicken masala, chickpeas, okra, and chicken fry, all of which was extremely delicious.
Neha Tiffin Centre - Tekka Centre, Singapore - Price - $2 SGD ($1.46 USD) - Unfortunately the place I had really wanted to go to try Indian style fried noodles was closed for the day. So I noticed many people eating dosa from a number of stalls - so that’s what I decided to try. At just $2 it’s one of the most affordable small meals in Singapore. Not the best dosa I’ve had, but overall quite good.
Shifa Drinks Corner - Tekka Centre, Singapore - While eating at Tekka Centre, I met the friendly guys from Shifa Drinks Corner who made a fresh sugar cane juice for me and wouldn’t accept payment. Please go support them when you’re here!
Gandhi Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/14...) Little India, Singapore - Total price for 2 people - $29 SGD ($21.17 USD) - Finally to complete this Indian street food tour in Little India Singapore we went for a huge South Indian rice and curry meal at Gandhi Restaurant. I tried the yellow rice, chicken masala, fish fry, and a variety of other additional vegetable sides. Food was delicious, and it’s quite a popular place.
Again, Singapore has authentic and extremely delicious Indian food and this is just a start to all the delicious places to try!

Hi Mark, I’m Singaporean and I just want to say a huge thank you for featuring Little India. I’m not sure if you’re aware, but Little India was one of the worst hit areas in terms of footfall and business during the pandemic in the last few years. With migrant workers not being allowed to go out of their dorms during the weekends, business declined badly and quickly. So this may have been unintentional, but thank you for featuring the vibrant Little India in your first food vlog of Singapore!

@@MarkWiens great video as usual. Although i must say. It seems like your trying way too hard to say chapati as many times as possible. And the overpronouncing of the word chipati with the roller "R's" gets very tiring. Like a child thats learned their first word. If a Indian talked to you in their accent; then suddenly said just one word that was trying way too hard to say an english word like dictionary. Youd think they were weirdos.

Sometimes I wonder how come Mark never puts on weight even though he eats massive portions wherever he goes. I have been watching his videos ever since he started this channel but he still looks the same. May be he’s got super fast metabolism. 😊😊

One of the wonder of the world is that I have been watching Mark's videos for years and it seems he never change his body mass, not bigger and not smaller, despite all the big amount of foods he ate. How? Could you have a magnanimous metabolism for food?

i really miss singapore so much since my last trip in 2019. really looking forward to go down there in the near future! don't forget to try out the chinese sweet pancakes with various flavours such as red bean paste and pandan flavours there! also, try out the affordable tempura dishes at the Tendon Kohaku outlet in Suntec rated as "Food King Good" by a local KZbin star called Night Owl Cinematics! of course, be prepared for a long queue to get the affordable and delicious tempura dishes! of course, try out another famous chapati store at Santa Curry House in KL!

One very interesting element about indian dishes is that they keep it 100% authentic with its cooking styles; this applies to malay foods as well. No itchy fingers trying to innovate or re-create original tastes into new fusion products for the sake of making more money or being trendy. Indian and malay foods are definitely purist, taking well care of its rich food heritage.💐

The best thing about all of your videos is the culture. Life style. Food brings anyone together but you actually prove it via video. You are the man Dude!

Yes, the banana leaf meal is delicious. Even as a Singaporean, I go to Banana Leaf Apollo Restaurant to get my cravings fulfilled. The fish cutlet, mutton curry, fish head curry is what I will usually order. It's so good. 🤤 I need to try the chapatti soon, look so yummy!

azmi doesn't sound anything Indian. It may be bangladeshi or pakistani. I don't see any indian lookig people there. very misleading. it is not the kinda food average indians eat anyways.
