FLORENCE, ITALY - Today we’re going on an ultimate Italian food tour in Florence, Italy. We’ll eat some of the most legendary street food, iconic dishes, and then end with a truly authentic and rare Florentine meal for dinner. Get ready to eat your way through Florence!

Here’s all the Italian food we ate in Florence:
All’Antico Vinaio, Florence, Italy (maps.app.goo.gl/DYuKWMcZYo2a9...) - We’re starting off this Italian street food tour with what is easily one of the world’s most famous sandwiches from All’Antico Vinaio. Their bread is immaculate, right out of the oven. I tried three different sandwiches, all of which were outstanding:
Sandwich 1: Favolosa - Sbriciolona salami, cream of pecorino cheese, artichokes, spicy eggplants
Sandwich 2: La Inferno - Roast suckling pig, spicy cream, spicy eggplant, rocket
Sandwich 3: La Paradiso - Mortadella, stracciatella cheese, pistachios
Tripperia Pollini Lampredotto - You can visit Florence without trying their beloved lampredetto, a sandwich made with the cow’s 4th stomach (abomasum). Traditionally it’s just served with salt and pepper, but with some herb oil and chili oil it really bumps up the flavor.
Vivoli Gelato - Continuing with this Italian food tour with had a Gran Crema Caffè Vivoli (Affogato) - Cream gelato with coffee, at one of the original and historical gelato shops - it was delicious!
Tripe sandwich: Da' Vinattieri - Edoardo next brought us into an alley to eat Trippa alla Fiorentina - Florence style tripe sandwich, which is slightly different from the lampredetto we had already eaten earlier.
La Sorbettiera - After trying the original and old style gelato affogato, we then needed to try a modern gelato spot.
Cibrèo Ristorante, Florence, Italy (maps.app.goo.gl/riMyoyB2x3Rbr...) - Finally, along with all the street food, we decided to sit down for a massive higher end dinner to highlight some of the true and nearly forgotten Italian dishes of Florence. We tried the massive Antipasto, Collo di pollo ripieno - stuffed chicken neck, Tagliolini cacio e burro - pasta with cheese and butter, Roastbeef del Cibrèo Caffè - roast beef with butter sauce, and finally Cibrèo - chicken and rooster organs in egg and lemon sauce! What a meal, highly recommended and thank you again for Edoardo for arranging it.

I'm living in Toronto, and during Covid, their opened a restaurant nearby that specialized in Italian flatbread. I went thinking, it'll be like Subway. The breads, the quality of meat, the olives, my mind opened a new portal of flavors. They closed within 1 1/2 years but the tastes, the skill of chefs and how amazing Italian flatbreads are, stays with me to this day. Hope to head to Florence someday

Hey Mark, I love this video so much. I was just in Florence last year and it is hands down my favorite city on the planet. This video brings back some memories. I will definitely go back there again and try the tri pini as I missed that last time. Also, I would like to say how much I appreciate what you're doing. I can't say how pressured you must feel when speaking in public and I can only imagine you getting weird looks from some people. After watching this episode I went straight to Jersey Mike's & got me a swiss turkey footlong with extra peppercines then just imagined I was in Florencia with Mark scarfing down one of those crafted signature masterpieces 😅 It wasn't authentic but it ceased my stomach from rumbling lol!! Florence ITALY THE most beautiful city!!!! All the food OH MY! YOU MARK, EDUARDO, MR. TASTER, AND JEFFREY! What a wonderful food adventure starting with the sandwiches!! The huge foccia bread sandwiches! Just had to be beyond delicious! Then the organ sandwiches stomach liver, etc. Like the one with parsley and chili oils! 120 yrs WOW! The Gelato the best!!! But the elegant resteraunt with the waitress speaking fluent English was nice. Wonderful stunning food. The fettuccine wirh carrot juice and butter, the thin roast beef in butter, the prosciutto, rabbit in the chocolate sauce delicious I bet Mark, lasagna with the potato that was an experience for sure!!! Italy is my favorite country! People so friendly! Glad you and Jeffrey were able to go and show us how Italy is!!!!

The crunch when they handle and slice the bread makes me want to shed a tear for the beauty of it! I love your shows, Mark, and I have watched many of them, but my mouth has never watered as much as seeing this one. If you haven't been to Florence, you must go - and you must go to the Duomo. Take the stairs up inside of it (extra Euro, but so worth it) - the view from the top is nothing less than extraordinary. I wish I'd known about this sandwich shop when I went.

I visited Firenze and it's a really Gorgeous City! the last dish really got me! all the organs and all the odd bits of a rooster, it's something that can really be stamped as Florence, something they took and made into a masterpiece - that maybe no one else could, that's really a unique and special dish!🐓

i love your videos, evectional range and experiences! I like to see an experienced eye to authentic dishes that I've tried or experienced myself. Especially the bread, my god the bread in other countries is phenomenal, "what ere we even doing here?". I do wish youd segmented your videos with timestamps, it makes it easier to revisit some past videos for a specific part and to pinpoint interests in the moment. All in all, keep up the good work!
