I miss Italy!!! I have been to Italy with my Italian family. Naples...Pizza...Chin Chin Salute!!!! And the Sea Food Spaghetti...I am crying, it is all so beautiful!!! Naples is a rough town. But the food is out of this world. Mark, you are the first person to eat a Pizza Margherita, and show it in all it's glory!!! Nobody, until now, has done that. You are so down home with Italian food. And that is Italian food. I will look for more Food of Italy. I also like that sign painted for Micah. I feel that Micah will return to Italy many times.

About 10 years ago, my wife and I landed in Naples one evening, took the airport bus to Central Station, and walked to our hotel nearby. The receptionist suggested Lombardi for dinner because it was nearby. We didn’t know, and were a little sceptical, because the restaurant appeared aged, but once the food came out, OMG. It was the best. We went back a few years later and for my birthday we went to a pizzeria and each downed a pizza. Mark is right - the city may appear grungy, but it’s full of character, history and one of my favourites, not just in Italy but Europe.

Its the best. Italy is the creator of civilization.
@Frogbjb3 ай бұрын
@@capresti3537 bro do you have some kind of superiority complex or something? I’ve seen you in every comment trying to factually state that Italy is 1. The best country in the world and 2. Has the best food. We get it, you like Italy, but you’re biased, and your sources are biased. There are 8 billion people in the world, most of whom do not live in Italy, and plenty of other countries out there that make just as much of a case for themselves as Italy does. The entire argument about which country has the best cuisine is entirely opinionated. There is no “factual” best cuisine in the world. Get over yourself. And Italy did not “create” civilization. Ancient Rome did not “create” civilization. They definitely innovated it in many ways but that claim is just wrong.
@capresti35373 ай бұрын
@@Frogbjb I have pride not a superiority complex. Italy has done a lot for the world, they created western civilization and created the most important inventions known to man.. you disagree with this?.. I am not biased i am speaking facts and the sources are factual. It is well known Italy's accomplishments in the world. Italy is known for having the best cuisine in the world, this is a well known fact with ratings and even "Tasteatalas" ratings put Italian food at number 1 which is no surprise. Furthermore, Italy DID create western civilization. Italy has made the greatest contributions to Western civilization. The Roman Empire, which originated in Italy, laid the foundation for many aspects of Western culture, law, engineering, and architecture. Italy was the birthplace of the Renaissance, a period of great cultural, artistic, and scientific achievements that profoundly influenced Western thought and art. It sounds to me your jealous which i find amusing. face the facts about Italy mkkkkaaaay?. Nothing will change the facts and truth in the world about Italy.
@Frogbjb3 ай бұрын
@@capresti3537 Sounds like you got your education in Italy! For the record, Italians did not CREATE civilization or even western civilization. Ancient Greece was around way before Ancient Rome, and Ancient Greece also influenced many aspects of Roman culture. Also, yes, Italy definitely created some of the most important inventions/contributions, but not “THE” most important. Get this out of your head. Italy is not better than the rest of the world. Many of the most widely considered to be “important” inventions were not in made in Italy. The wheel was invented in modern day Iraq, Electricity in USA and England, the internet in the USA, the telephone in the USA, vaccines in the UK, the antibiotic in the UK, the airplane in the USA, the computer in the UK/USA. Gunpowder - china. Compass - China. Paper - china. Refrigerator - Germany, Penicillin - UK. Need I go on? I get you are proud of your country’s cuisine, but it is not factually “better” than any other cuisine. Tasteatlas is a European source and has European bias, and actually is only available in 1 language - English. Yes, many agree Italian cuisine is 1 of the best in the world but many, even professional chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, prefer other cuisines over it. It is based on opinion, and it doesn’t make them “wrong” for liking something else more.
@capresti35373 ай бұрын
@@Frogbjb Italians created civilization with the Greeks. Italians were the main contributors. Rome built on these foundations, adding its own touch with law, engineering, and governance. The Roman Empire, with its vast reach, spread these ideas throughout Europe. Italy did create the the most important contributions known to man like the telephone, radio, modern banking systems, battery, light bulb, helicopter, nuclear reactor, personal computer, television, etc.. and so much more. USA did not invent telephone and neither computer. These are Italian inventions, telephone: "Antonio Meucci" and personal computer was invented by "Pier Giorgio Perotto". Electricity was not invented in USA, it is a natural phenomenon that has been known since ancient times. Your opinion Italian cuisine is not better than the rest of the world. I disagree and so do millions of others. Tasteatlas is international and a reputable sourced online food guide and portal that has been authoring the list for a number of years. Italian food is the most popular and most exported in the world. Italian food received the highest rating of any country in the world according to Tasteatlas. Pizza the most popular food in the world is invented by Italians.

I love spagetti al vongole, and all the other dishes also looked so tasty and fresh. The food is amazing, the people are so friendly, and the athmosphere is really great, especially in the spanish quarter, where we stayed. My only problem is that it is so loud and people are partying at night (on every night, not only in the weekends) untill 3am, so that sleep is almost impossible.
