For all of you asking why mark doesn't turn fat from eating these things is because it's all natural food over there. All naturally grown without any growth hormones.

I'd argue that his genetics and daily walking contribute more to his being fit.

Could it be that he eats a lot of vegetables, grilled meat without flour coating and round it out with a bit of rice? Walks a lot too.

I lost weight while in Thailand and felt so good, came home and had an operation two years later and gained 80 pounds . . .gotta get back to Thailand . . .only 24 hours to fly there. I`ll never be slim like Mark though. Wrong genes (and the jeans don`t fit).

Dude!!!, I always stopped to eat there on my way back home from Khon Kaen to Udon Thani. I studied one year at Khon Kaen University then came to the U.S. Watching this video makes me soooooo hungry, you have no idea! Have to plan a trip to Thailand soon. Keep up the good works Mark, and safe travel.

Khon Kaen is where one half of my family is located, they live in the village of Sarngaew. Food in Khon Kaen is amazing and for the best price compared to tourist-y towns like Phuket where dinner is still 40 USD. Such a peaceful city, with great cooks.

Hello Sir! Greetings from the Philippines. Iv'e been an avid fan of your videos ever since I saw it on youtube . I'm happy you are now featuring foods from the Isaan region because I really fell inlove on one of those cities in Isaan. I was an exchange student last November 2013 and I studied in Loei for a month. Watching your videos makes me feel like I'm traveling back in Thailand and satisfying my cravings for Thai food. I wish you can also visit Loei and feature some of the amazing things on that place. Thailand is a country that you can easily cherish and the Thai people are amazing ! Thank you and I'll surely stick around for more of your food and travel videos. :)

I love eating grilled chicken like that where it's toasty on the outside and super juicy on the inside. So what was that big ball on top of the green papaya salad? Was it papaya?
@MarkWiens10 жыл бұрын
***** Yes, glad you love it that way too. Found out it was an olive, but just the seed. So the fruit was squeezed into the sauce and they just left the seed for decoration I think.

I ate there once upon reading Lonely Planet... when I went to visit Khon Kaen a few years ago. As usual, there are a few copy-cat restaurants around with names that sound similar to this restaurant... so, initially I took a motorbike taxi and ended up at the wrong place. I had my meal there anyway with a few dishes including the grilled chicken. There were many flies around which was very irritating. Upon finishing my meal, I checked again on Google maps and realised I went to the wrong place. So I took another motorbike ride and reached the correct restaurant. I went back to my hotel and decided to visit this restaurant again the next day.

Love all your videos.. You make me hungry just watching you eat it! That grilled chicken looks absolutely delicious. I wish I can duplicate the dipping sauce. I've been to Vietnam over 10 times.. But I can't remember any of the addresses of the places I've eaten that are delicious. I usually go with one of my local relatives. They usually take me to a hole in the wall down some alley. They are the best restaurants to eat at. I've eaten at big restaurants and at the mall.. I wouldn't recommend it.. The food is not that great. Best of luck to Ho Chi Minh City. hi mark, once again my mouth is watering man. all the food looked so great. question: I notice your mostly in short sleave shirts, do you get much of a winter there?
@MarkWiens10 жыл бұрын
xcessive2008 Thank you vey much. Yes, in central and southern Thailand you rarely ever need anything more than a t-shirt. In northern Thailand it does get cool in winter, but for 80% of the year it's pretty hot. Overall, most of Thailand is quite warm year round.
