I live literally 10 minutes from Scott! My family and I have eaten at the “Best Stop” ever since I was a very young child. It has been a family staple for their pre-seasoned meats, Boudin, sausage, Cracklins, literally everything meat or butcher related. Mark if you’re reading this, thank you so much for coming out here. I can’t believe I found this channel. My first job was at the Best Stop back in 1990. Worked there for 3 year through high school. Mr Robert & Mr Brudd are the best! I learned how to butcher meat and made a many a thousand pounds of Boudin back in the day. No fancy equipment like they have now, but I got to take a tour. A must stop if you are passing through Louisiana off of I-10.

I love it. Mark has millions of likes, views, and subscribers, yet he comes to this little humble, beautiful, Cajun town in South Louisiana to try out two of the most famous foods in Louisiana. Boudin and Cracklins are VERY ADDICTIVE, They're like the chips you can't have just one. If you ever taste boudin and or cracklins you'll be ready to relocate your entire life to the Southern U.S. Most especially Louisiana or Texas where the most ICONIC Cajun foods can be had at its finest. TY Mark for coming and making a wonderful video and sharing our little nook of the world. Thank you also for bringing Ying and Micah to experience our culture also. Many blessings to all three of you as well as safe travels. We hope you feel welcome to stay a spell and enjoy yourselves.

Thanks Mark for all of your videos. I am from that area and always go get my boudin and cracklin fix when I am home. I started right where you were at The Best Stop, then somebody showed me Don's Specialty Meats, which is back by the interstate, that has a creole stuffed bread to die for. Now in my opinion the best flavored boudin is from Billy's Boudin, they make a fried boudin ball stuffed with pepperjack cheese that people go crazy for. Nah he deserves a series on the travel channel, but I’m still glad KZbin pays him

Naw that would ruin his show. Corporate execs ruin everything, with this he has freedom to do whatever he pleases which is why we enjoy it so much!

Boudin is a near religious experience in Louisiana ... I'm from the NE but business brought me to Louisiana often to work with colleagues indigenous to the area. First time I had boudin was around 1984 which we bought at a gas station and I loved it. It didn't have natural casing so I learned the "toothpaste" method. Thereafter, I enjoyed it every time I returned. But to be at the actual factory ... man, that must have been the best!
