My father told me that as a boy he saw schools of quillback so large they darkened the water in the little coal river in WV. Then the coal mines came in and the runoff killed all of them in the 50s and 60s. They are native, so they are special. No carp species is native to North America, only suckers are. So to me, the quillback is a National Treasure that should be appreciated.

I was fishing on the elk river here in West Virginia and I'm pretty sure I seen a few schools of these fish not as large as you have mentioned but I think these special lil fish are still there

Suckers are incredibly underappreciated and incorrectly assumed to be dirty by fishermen. We need to respect them more both as an important part of the ecosystem and as a type of fish to catch

I love watching your lure-making but I was just blown out of the water by your son's drawings. He's HOW OLD and he drew those? He has crazy good motor skills already to get such nice and neat and readable lines and coloring. Wow. He already has the artist's touch at such a young age. I love his Elvis and the little amoeba flower!

TWO?????!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!!?!? You guys just gave RE-birth to one of the great artists of the world!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!! Which one, we can't be sure yet, but he may be Salvadore Dali!!! You NEED to nurture his artistic spirit, surrounded him at all times with any and all types of art supplies you can think of or that you can afford! Some of that crap gets pricey!!! OUCH!! Whenever you can, do some alongside him to encourage him and show him just how much fun creating really is!!! WOW!!!! He is going to do some serious works!! I promise you!

It would be cool if you made more of those but put a willow leaf spinner on them too and maybe a tandem spinner. This is one of my favorite videos in a long time I wish you could put to a week on. I’ve been home all year in and out of the hospital. I mostly watch all your reruns. I’m originally from Minnesota I love northern pike and musky fishing. Now I live out in Washington. We fish for rock bass and salmon out here. Keep up the good work.
