I lisened to this as a teenager. My first Marmalades concert was at age 14 I just loved their sound. This came later but it taps into all our feelings about our lives. Life is hard, bloody hard. We lose over and over again but no we "don't want to die". We all want to be taken back to our own homes. Sadly in our world they no longer exist. Every town looks the same. My "own home" with mum and dad in it has gone forever.

While we were sitting and waiting for my father’s name to be called, they announced the next recipient… William Richard Thorpe, for services to Australian Music.
