I'M sure it felt a little funny being on solid ground again I have never spent 19 days on a boat but I have spent 6 or 7 days on a sailboat and i remember when I got back on land it took a day or so for me to stop feeling like I was swaying and my land legs back underneath me. Wow, I've been watching all of you on this trans Pacific trip since the first episode. I quickly concluded that Laura was very attractive, but she looks absolutely beautiful in this episode. With her hair pulled back like that it highlights her face and she is quite stunning! She has a wonderfully warm personality and is so full of energy. Bobby, you look the best you have looked since episode 1. Shorter hair and the lack of facial hair is your best look. I predicted, right after watching the Christmas episode, or perhaps it was the New Year's episode, that something more than Laura just being a "crew member" was going on here. Now we have the word "love" being used on occasion. I wish you all the best. I mean that sincerely as I married a beautiful woman 24 years ago, just 8 months after meeting her. We both knew within two weeks of meeting that we were going to get married. I've had a serious, long term, health issue and we have just found out that we are going to have to live in a big city for 2-6 months for me to get treatment. Depending on how it progresses it could even be up to a year. We live in a somewhat remote (by lower 48 state standards) small rural town and we both dislike cities. This is going to be hard on us, but my wife is making most of the arrangements as I cannot right now. I would not be alive without her.

All my life I've heard people go on about the "money shot" and it was cool. I get it. Then drones came along and we get outstanding footage like the beginning of this video and it's just......wow! This and footage like it is the "money shot", this is what put the "awe" in "awesome". Laura, the real Captain knows where you are! So the rest of you can drink and let the lucky charm in your pocket get you home at night. It is amazing how weird it feels being on land after being on nothing but a boat for long periods of time, but you shellacks will get your landlegs back quickly. That beer looked good, and it's always cool how the community of cruisers is no matter where you go in the world. Hope this finds you well, and doing great!

Been wondering what it must be like to stand on solid ground again and how long it takes to acclimate. Having been a commercial pilot I know what it's like to step down on terra firma after a long flight in choppy weather. Both a blessing and, strangely enough, a letdown at the same time.

The indiginous people speak mostly Tahitian and French. The Marquesan dialect is making a comeback after being supressed by colonialism. Some english is spoken but not very much.

That $400.00 buck right off, just to make sure y'all don't stay there too long. The island looks habit forming to me. They probably have a hard time forcing some visitors to leave. I think that you have to prove that you can offer services nobody already on the island can, to live there. I can understand that.

James Morris + New Zealand has the same attitude. I don't know what they charge but they don't want you staying there for a long period of time unless you have some skill to offer.

James Morris The French Polynesian Government is allowing the "Sea Steading Institute" to create an economic free zone in their protected waters. They will be selling rental space aboard their man-made island for around $500+ per square.foot.. There will be hotels, condos, and UNREGULATED business/research facilities. This is the First stage in the Institutes goal of becoming completely independent of any nation or land mass. the ultimate goal is to create deep water floating cities run with private contracts, volunteerism, and most importantly no Tax creating/enforcing cabal of immoral politicians ---> NO GOVERNMENT as we know it. The French Polynesians are hoping the free market (in the economic zone) will bring huge benefits to their nation.

+Dave Lockwood we uploaded a couple in the marquesas and tuamotus but they took between 7-15 hours to upload. Once we got to Tahiti I uploaded a lot of videos from hot spotting my phone on 4g really fast but it cost $25 per gigabyte to upload!
