This was released in April of 2001, which is when Blake got started. He's 48 years old and was around 25 when this was released.

Not Austin. He called her Austin on his recording , when she called him because that is where she went to. She said when he called her, on her machine, that by the way, this aint no machine your talking to. This is Austin, and I still love you.

I've watched many reactions to this song, and nobody gets it right. He said "Austin" because she talked about it all the time and she loved that place. He just said Austin because he knows she would know that he was talking about her because he knew she loved "Austin" the city.

Precisely. I am usually shit at understanding lyrics but this one is obvious (but maybe not first time, I've listen it a lot of times!!!). We have no idea what either of them are called!

neither are named austin. austin is where she went and she is only ever referred to by the place, austin, not by her name. we have no idea what his name is.

I know now why their music videos are so long, they pause the music videos and talk so much, instead of waiting at the end of the videos to do their talking. EXAMPLE: This video shows 8:06 minutes long due to their long talking. The least that they could do would be for them to start the video from the start, AFTER they finish talking. IF it is “copyright” reasons that they pause and talk for so long, then they shouldn’t be showing any music videos.
