“Daybreak” - At his first concert in Bastau: This song tells the sad story of a Chinese boy (Quon Yan), who along with his family, suffered a cable car accident in Xingyi city in Guizhou province, where many people died, but the boy's parents held him up with their hands and he survived, though the parents died. The song was written and composed by the boy's adoptive mother (Han Hong) and Dimash sang the song for the first time in Mandarin on “The Singer 2017”, but he had a sore throat and sang through injections. The doctor said that if he sang high notes, he would never sing again... He sang! Then he made this wonderful version, already cured, at his show in Bastau!

Daybreak is a song written by Chinese singer Han Hong as a dedication to a father and mother involved in a 1999 cable car accident. The couple saved their baby by holding up the child when the cable car fell off. Miraculously the baby survived but the couple died. Han Hong later adopt the ophaned child. The song also happened to be the first Chinese song Dimash heard. He sang it during the Singerr competition that made him famous in China. He managed to bring many of the audience to tears despite losing his voice the night before and sang in a language he didn't speak.

Dimash was only 10 yrs old when he first heard this song & it touched him deeply, even at that young age & he knew he wanted to sing this at some stage. This amazing performance always gives me goosebumps & brings tears to my eyes.

This concert was given to him by his hometown as a welcome home and as a thank you for his huge success in China. 30. 000 people from all over the world took part.
